We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

Excellent oysters. Amazing clam chowder. Had the mahi mahi BLT sandwich. Don’t forget the French fries. The very best key lime pie in town. Our server was always available and took very good care of us. We’ll be back soon for some more delicious seafood.

Blue Island is our favorite place for oysters and seafood. We used to love Jax, recently went back and were blown away by how much better Blue Island is than Jax. The service, the menu, the quality and the value are all superb - and we are tough critics.

The food was delicious, but the service was seriously lacking. We constantly had to ask to get our waters refilled, our waitress almost acted like she was put out or didn’t really want to be there. It was a birthday dinner for one of us in the party and my son tried to discreetly tell another staff member to tell our waitress that when he went to the bathroom and they assured him they would tell our waitress, but apparently that never happened so that was disappointing.

Please add more wait staff. Wait staff is pleasant, but they rush because they have too many tables. For the price of the meal/ experience, the service needs to be better.

Our dining experience was met with great service and knowledge of the menu. The Salmon Oscar was exceptional, and the Poké cocktail. We much prefer the level of service, ambiance, and quality to the Cherry Creek location.

Veterans Day 2024 dinner did not disappoint! My husband and elderly father were very happy with their meals and Veterans Day special offer. This is one of my favorite restaurants and we all really enjoyed our experience. I also appreciated that we were given a table in the corner which meant that someone had actually read my special request. Thank you for truly valuing our business and supporting our veteran community.
