We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

The scallops were ambrosia - lightly crisped outside and tender inside. Definitely will be returning for those! The Notorious BIOB cocktail was delicious with just a hint of carbonation. Kris took excellent care of us, as well. Overall highly recommend!

Good food, awful service. Not only did our waiter act like he didn’t want to be there and delivered extremely poor service, he gave us the incorrect bill to pay. Unfortunately I did not notice until after he ran the card. A manager and 3 charges with 2 refunds later, no apology from either the waiter or manager. Not acceptable.

Our family visits the Lone Tree location regularly. Saturday night was another great evening. We started with fresh oysters then Shishito Peppers (perfectly prepared). My wife had the kale salmon salad while our grandson had the the surf and turf. The lobster was exquisitely prepared. I had the blackened salmon with the delicious curried cauliflower as my side. Great service and generous portions.

Great that the restaurant had a full house. Unfortunately our server was very inattentive and unaware of our needs such as taking our order and clearing plates.

We often come to this restaurant because of the consistency in great food, drinks, service and overall atmosphere. We are big oyster fans, so the Monday evening happy hour menu really appeals to us. Can’t wait for our next restaurant experience!

The food and service was good, however, I had a reservation and requested a booth. When we arrived the booths were mostly occupied but there was other seating available. I specifically asked not to be seated by a window; it was freezing outside. The hostess indicated there was a table by the "frosted" windows and because they were frosted would not be as cold, which is ridiculous. She made no effort to accommodate us, nor did she ask if we wanted to wait. She seemed in a hurry just to seat us (there were no other patrons waiting). In fact, they held two tables for a larger group that arrived much later than our group. We wore our coats the entire meal because it was so cold and it the meal far less enjoyable.
