We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

The food and service was good, however, I had a reservation and requested a booth. When we arrived the booths were mostly occupied but there was other seating available. I specifically asked not to be seated by a window; it was freezing outside. The hostess indicated there was a table by the "frosted" windows and because they were frosted would not be as cold, which is ridiculous. She made no effort to accommodate us, nor did she ask if we wanted to wait. She seemed in a hurry just to seat us (there were no other patrons waiting). In fact, they held two tables for a larger group that arrived much later than our group. We wore our coats the entire meal because it was so cold and it the meal far less enjoyable.

I must say that I’m thrilled to have found a place that serves absolutely delectable seafood in Colorado! This is hands-down been the best seafood that I’ve had since moving here five years ago. They have a good variety of seafood cooked to absolute perfection regardless of the way you choose to get it! Like any good seafood, it is on the more expensive side. With that being said, I will be returning and bringing my friends! I will be back for this great experience and amazing food.

A bit off of the usual 5 stars. The Portuguese red wine was very raisiny making me think it’s been sitting around too long. Sent it back. Waiter was not quite on top of things. Wandered off with part of my wine carafe and didn’t get a glass of water for my friend until reminded. Food was outstanding though! Celebrated my birthday with friends and had a card at the table 😊
