We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

Amazing dinner! We have been wanting to try Blue Island Oyster Bar for a long time and this evening did not disappoint! The calamari was 10/10!

We came for restaurant week and it was great. We saved quite a bit by ordering the pre fix menu. Scott was our server and he was delightful. They have many special menus throughout the week. We will be back.

If you’re looking for a good seafood joint this would work. The service was excellent, the prices were a bit high. If you want to hear or be heard, this isn’t the place.

I made the mistake of going during Denver Restaurant Week. I made a reservation not knowing it was DRW, but my daughter was home from college, and we wanted to go here. I like this restaurant, and usually have a great experience, but on this occasion I felt rushed through the meal. At one point, we had no room on our tiny 2-top because they brought the oysters at the same time as the first course. Then, while we were still enjoying the oysters, the main dishes arrived. Could they have made it any more obvious that they were trying to turn the table?! Lesson learned - I’ll avoid BIOB during “restaurant week”.

Loyalty customer. Restaurant week special. Apps very good(Calamari & Smoked Trout). Desserts were good but sample size. New England Lobster Roil was over dressed with Mayo & celery. Lettuce filled the small roll…minimal lobster. Lobster was minced not in chunks…so hardly any flavor . My favorite slaw was notably lacking the tarragon and no flavor. Come here frequently for the lobster roll…even take out & this by far was not up to their standard quality. We went early so that’s not an excuse for poor quality food. Service is always great. Very dissatisfied for quality and value.

Came here with friends for restaurant week and had a great experience. Everything was cooked well. We didn't care for the potato dish that was served with the Surf & Turf but otherwise, it was great. The cocktail menu is very nice and our server was excellent. It is a bit noisy but still the experience was great.
