We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

Excellent oysters and grill. In spite of it being a Saturday night and very busy, Anna is amazing and took the time to chat with my child. Manager Garett takes the time to help with serving and connect with the guests, thank you for the great experience! We’ll be back.

Although the food was delicious, I was disappointed at how we were rushed with dining. The first course came before our drinks, and the main courses came before we were finished with our soup. I think they took too many reservations and felt like they had to push people along. When you spend so much to eat, you should never be rushed. Bad form!

The server was extremely inattentive, others brought out the food and he never refilled our waters, just a really bummer of an experience, especially at $200! The food tasted ok, didn’t seem quite fresh, even the sushi, just ok. Super bummed.

We hadn’t been back in a while and man have we been missing out! The service was excellent, he was attentive, made suggestions and was pleasant. Our food came our piping hot and my salmon was cooked to perfection. Life has been challenging for us, and for two hours my husband and I were able to share a wonderful meal and each other. We will be back soon! Thank you!

Great evening overall. The oysters are decadent. Thai calamari was perfect and the salmon kale salad was the best. The Lobster roll left a lot to be desired. It was more of a lobster salad sandwich with not near enough lobster. I would not order lobster here again as it is not work the money, nor the taste bud experience.

We took the kids for an early Valentine’s Day dinner and almost everything was awesome! We had the stallion oysters and had to order another round they were so good. We took advantage of the special menu for two.. the chowder, Caesar, crab cakes, and sea bass were all great!! The filet definitely left something to be desired and was not seasoned nor did it come with a sauce. To finish they offered a chocolate bread pudding which was like a soufflé and a bread pudding in one dessert. Went very well with the champagne toast.

We had the $140 Valentine's dinner. The clam chowder was flavorful, m'lady liked it a lot. The sea bass also had superb flavor, but menu said 'crab crusted', which actually was a side of crab cake. The smashed parmesan diced potatoes were VERY tasty, the asparagus stalks were large and ok. The chocolate bread pudding was good, the paid extra ice cream very creamy once we could get the rock hardness cut into. The two glasses of champagne lasted us nicely through the meal. The $30 Shucks Rewards for a future purchase was generous so we will be back.
