We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

Great food, worst service we have ever experienced. Our server came over and took our drink orders and then disappeared. I could see him socializing at the station but he was ignoring us. Finally after much waving he finally came over to take food orders. We ordered a dozen oysters, tacos, California roll, two chowders and a half lobster with stuffing. The chowders came out then 6 oysters. I went to the station and told him we had ordered a dozen oysters so he had 6 more sent out. The tacos and California roll came but no lobster. He asked us if we needed anything else and we pointed out that we were missing the lobster and he looked at us like we were crazy. He had forgotten to put in the order for the lobster! There my husband sat with no food. Finally got the lobster. Long story short he charged me twice for the oysters and I didn't see it. Like I said, good food, bad service.

we really like the salmon oscar. it has such good flavors and not too filling. the brussels are really good too.

Good food, good atmosphere, but pretty pricey. Enjoyed the food but afterward a little bit of food reaction/possibly allergies such as mucous congestion and headache which I typically get if food is over processed and/or not organic, and is lower quality food.

Great service, excellent prices during happy hour, nice settings...but be aware of the almost 4% 'surcharge'. Ridiculous...have the guts to raise your prices instead of sneaking in an extra charge.

We arrived at 5:30 during happy hour and they were able to seat us on the patio for a beautiful fall evening. Oysters on the 1/2 shell, Thai Calamari, Brussel Sprouts & Deviled Eggs were amazing! Tried the Blue Island Fish Tacos and they were loaded with Blackened fish and slaw and were so good!!! Definitely would recommend for a fabulous happy hour!!
