We’re more than oysters - we’re Colorado's best seafood restaurant! Opened this year in January, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings you a second location location in South metro Denver. Our approach is still the same: to create honest food and drinks, served in a comfortable, casual environment. The restaurant’s culture is inspired by memories of growing up in coastal towns with families of oyster farmers and fishermen. Like them, we strive to bring you superb hospitality and delicious food with a commitment to the freshest seafood at reasonable prices. To ensure this commitment of quality, we’ve partnered with Chris Quartuccio of Blue Island Shellfish Farms in Long Island, NY to bring you nearly daily shipments of seasonal oysters and seafood, offering favorites such as Steamed Mussels, Lobster Rolls, Clam Chowder, Crab Cakes, and fish like halibut, Atlantic cod and salmon, to name a few. We invite you in for dock-to-dish dining at its best!

I wish i remembered our servers name. He was excellent & treated my friend & I like princesses ☺️. A tad pricey but so is everywhere. I’ll still frequent!

All good. Just forgot to put in an order. Was comped. Server super awesome but got distracted and we didn’t see much of her. She was super sweet though. Pricing is high but good good.

Blue Island exceeded my expectations. I would have awarded five stars except that the noise level is high. My wife and I had little trouble conversing but felt that a table of six, for example, would have an issue with everyone understanding what was said. As for the food, we felt it was top notch. My wife had the prosciutto wrapped scallops and I had the mixed seafood grill. Both were perfect. We also had chargrilled oysters for an appetizer and they were great. We will definitely go back.

Our server was good, but bar service was extremely slow. It was Sunday afternoon happy hour, but not especially busy…not sure why pouring out a couple glasses of wine took so long. The sushi roll we ordered had been made a while ago and the rice and seaweed wrapper were pretty gummy. Roasted oysters and the fish tacos were highlights. Overall, good experience, not great.

Delicious food and good service. Value, however is lacking, with prices high for everything from apps, to entrees to drinks. If price is not of concern to you, you'll enjoy your experience here.

The seafood was good. The environment was nice but a bit loud. The only complaint I have is that my surf and turf steak was not prepared the way I asked.

Our server Luis was exceptional! We were celebrating a bday dinner. Drinks, apps, dinner and dessert all excellent. Perfect Friday night spot and Luis gave us such great service. Really best atmosphere and food in the area, easy parking, great menu and service.

We used to love this place. It’s gone from our favorite to “we won’t be back”. The menu changed, the food and service have gone downhill and the ambiance shifted from slightly upscale to struggling. Did management change?

Excellent oysters and grill. In spite of it being a Saturday night and very busy, Anna is amazing and took the time to chat with my child. Manager Garett takes the time to help with serving and connect with the guests, thank you for the great experience! We’ll be back.
