Liberty Entertainment Group's 2024 project in the iconic Union Station. Blue Bovine combines the traditional steakhouse with the traditional Japanese sushi house to fashion a distinctly modern dining experience. Combining custom elements, such as exclusively designed Canadian maple wood furniture, manufactured in Toronto with bespoke artwork, handcrafted lighting details, and a warm colour palette of deep reds, seawater blues and layers of white to reflect Toronto's four seasons. Honouring the integrity of local and natural elements, the restaurant's ethos is expressed both through the commitment to local menu ingredients on the plate and local and natural material honesty in the design.

Our experience at Blue Bovine was disappointing. Our server was cold and dismissive, which dampened what should have been a special evening. The food was mediocre for the price, and the service did not match the restaurant’s reputation. While the manager was professional and warm when addressing the fire alarm incident, our server’s attitude, especially scoffing at a slight tip adjustment, was unprofessional. Given the lackluster service, I won’t be returning.

It was a lovely dining experience first time there and truly enjoyed our evening. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The chef created a special menu for Valentine’s Day and I’m so glad we chose. I got to experience some foods that I wouldn’t normally ever order. We will be back.

Ordered the wagyu tasting which was decent but the A5 wagyu was the worst and definitely was not worth it and was actually fatty or just chewy which is unlike anything I’ve ever seen out of A5. As well as the location is definitely not the best tucked away in union station in my opinion

The service was slow. The food was excellent! The music was very load and made it hard to have a conversation in our group.Nice environment otherwise!!

Unfortunately a very poor experience. Seems there was kitchen issues but Service approach did not compensate for this.

Our meal began with a cheese puff and herbed butter—an unexpected start, though the flavors were subtle. For appetizers, we ordered the octopus and lobster bisque, both rich and flavorful. We then had the salmon and the scallop risotto—both perfectly portioned and expertly prepared, with flavors that stood out on their own yet complemented the overall experience. Every dish was absolutely amazing—the portions were just right, and the flavors complemented each other beautifully. With its great ambiance and convenient location, this spot is a must-repeat for both personal and professional gatherings.
