Liberty Entertainment Group's 2024 project in the iconic Union Station. Blue Bovine combines the traditional steakhouse with the traditional Japanese sushi house to fashion a distinctly modern dining experience. Combining custom elements, such as exclusively designed Canadian maple wood furniture, manufactured in Toronto with bespoke artwork, handcrafted lighting details, and a warm colour palette of deep reds, seawater blues and layers of white to reflect Toronto's four seasons. Honouring the integrity of local and natural elements, the restaurant's ethos is expressed both through the commitment to local menu ingredients on the plate and local and natural material honesty in the design.

Stopped in for drinks and apps before Taylor swift. The lavender haze cocktail was not only on theme but it was beautiful, not too sweet, and so delish! The sliders and truffle fries were also great shareables. Will certainly be back.

Sushi was incredible. Drink came after appetizers. Servers seemed disinterested and pushing the prie fixe menu in the name of “speed” when the restaurant wasn’t full. $8.50/person for still water at the table - this place wasn’t that fancy for that. Just seemed like a way to up charge.

The restaurant is gorgeous and the service was spectacular! the food quality is OK however, with the high price and the menu’s main focus being sushi and steak - it was horrible and a total rip off. I had the Australian Wagu 8 OZ filet mignon for $140. I can get a better filet mignon at The Keg for a quarter of the price. Unfortunately, I would only come back here for drinks! Cheers! 🥂

we had a reservation for 5:45 for 3 people. Got sat at approx 5:55 , and no waiter came to see us for at least 20 minutes. in between that 20 minutes we flagged down at least 3 waiters , but only the 3rd one seem to care about not getting asked for drinks, water, not even given menus. at 6;15 we finally put our drinks order that did not come until approx 6:35, in between waiting we asked a waiter what would be the fastest meal as we had to get to the hockey game. they suggested Sushi as no hot food would take at least 30 minutes. The Sushi was good - but extremely overpriced for the service and the quantity. This is a new hot spot in Toronto but the service during games nights is not tolerable. If you want to sit for 2.5 to 3 hrs it is likely a better spot to be.

They have a happy hour special between 3-6 pm but it’s limited to the lounge. If the lounge is full they don’t let you order from the happy hour menu.
