Liberty Entertainment Group's 2024 project in the iconic Union Station. Blue Bovine combines the traditional steakhouse with the traditional Japanese sushi house to fashion a distinctly modern dining experience. Combining custom elements, such as exclusively designed Canadian maple wood furniture, manufactured in Toronto with bespoke artwork, handcrafted lighting details, and a warm colour palette of deep reds, seawater blues and layers of white to reflect Toronto's four seasons. Honouring the integrity of local and natural elements, the restaurant's ethos is expressed both through the commitment to local menu ingredients on the plate and local and natural material honesty in the design.

we had a reservation for 5:45 for 3 people. Got sat at approx 5:55 , and no waiter came to see us for at least 20 minutes. in between that 20 minutes we flagged down at least 3 waiters , but only the 3rd one seem to care about not getting asked for drinks, water, not even given menus. at 6;15 we finally put our drinks order that did not come until approx 6:35, in between waiting we asked a waiter what would be the fastest meal as we had to get to the hockey game. they suggested Sushi as no hot food would take at least 30 minutes. The Sushi was good - but extremely overpriced for the service and the quantity. This is a new hot spot in Toronto but the service during games nights is not tolerable. If you want to sit for 2.5 to 3 hrs it is likely a better spot to be.

They have a happy hour special between 3-6 pm but it’s limited to the lounge. If the lounge is full they don’t let you order from the happy hour menu.

Great food and service. Wagyu filet was amazing. Great service from Robert and great wine choice from Jessica.

Decent food. Should be better at this price point. Good service. Not sure why they decided to cancel Caesar salad service at table side because they were busy - that’s a bit of a cop out. And. Wry disappointing. Food isn’t spectator but should be at this price point.

I had an rsvp for dinner prior to hockey game so wanted to have a nice meal before the game. We ended up just ordering sushi and fries because of the atmosphere and our table location. Sushi was average but overpriced for value. The fries I didn’t like, I thought it was going to be shoe string or hand cut style, they were more like huge logs. I was looking forward to steak however we were sat at a crappy table right in front of the door so it was not comfortable to eat, more lounging chairs. Also the music is very loud, not really steak house atmosphere, more of a quick bite or drinks as you have to shout to have a conversation. Service was good with waitress in the beginning but when it got busy, she disappeared. The person who pours bottled water and wine was also mot around. So water and wine not refilled timely as they keep the bottle somewhere off to the side which i don’t like. Also my table was not cleaned up for at least 20mins after waitress asked us if we were finished. She came by twice and said will get someone to clean but that didn’t happen for a while. So table left dirty and the food runner spilled my soya sauce when pouring but never cleaned it up. When table was finally cleared and the bill came, waitress set the bill in the soya sauce. I tried to tell her but she couldn’t hear me as the music was too loud. One last thing, not a fan of the bathrooms. Mens/ Womens stalls are in the same room and its a shared washing station. Bathroom is all the way at the back corner and its dark. Also don’t like the black toilets, cannot tell if its clean or not. I don’t think I would come back again, not my scene. I was expecting Harbour 60 feel as it is the same price range but its nothing compared to it.

My husband and I came here for drinks and apps before the leaf game. I was disappointed they don’t offer their happy hour on game days and that wasn’t clear from their website. However the service was amazing and the food was great, we had the octopus and the steak tartar.
