Blue Bell Inn never disappoints. The food is excellent and the service is usually quite good. Blue Bell is a great place for a special occasion or just a reliably good lunch or dinner.

This is one of several outstanding recommendations that I’ve given for the Blue Bell Inn. It is by far my favorite restaurant in the Philadelphia region. It has an amazing history going back to the 1700s. I remember my parents taking me here in the 1960s and now that I moved back to Philadelphia. It is again by far my favorite restaurant. This evening I had a Caesar salad followed by sea bass. The entrée was piping hot and absolutely delicious. They give very large portions. For dessert I had their roasted cinnamon pears with vanilla ice cream. I practically licked the plate. The rooms are beautiful. Different rooms give a different atmosphere. The service is immaculate. I’ve simply never had a bad meal or experience at this terrific spot. Congratulations to Mr. Bruce Goodman on all of his success at the Blue Bell Inn.

Well, our service was very good. I felt like the food was very underwhelming. we decided to go here for our anniversary because we had heard very good things. It wasn't that the food was bad. I've just had better.

Dined inside on a Monday night. Food was very disappointing. I ordered the fried oyster appetizer and they had a peculiar taste as if not as fresh as it could have been. I then had the salmon entree and it too didn’t taste as fresh as I hoped. Not bad, just not prime. My companion’s food looked mediocre. I didn’t say anything because my friend was treating for dinner and I had selected the restaurant. Frankly, I was embarrassed. I hadn’t been there in a number of years and thought I would try it again. Wish I hadn’t.

Lovely place very attentive great food and the music was really great. People were dancing . Just a fun time . The steak is amazing .

I celebrated my Birthday with my Wife, Georgie, for our first visit to this site at a 5:15 PM reserved table with great atmosphere. I had the Guiness prepared Short Ribs (so soft- melt in your mouth) paired with Mashed Sweet Potatoes and grilled Brussel Sprouts. My Wife had the special of the night: a large moist and tender piece of Panko Crusted Halibut on a delicious bed of Couscous (she deleted the inclusive almonds - her choice). After such a good meal we both chose the Mango and Apricot Sorbet dessert (what a refreshing treat piled high on a cold stainless serving dish!) my plate under read in chocolate long- hand "Happy Birthday" . We had the best sorbet ever - After our Blue Bell Restaurant visit I have tried to search out another source of this sorbet - only one around which is in Reading Terminal Market, Bassett's Ice Cream has their Mango and Apricot sorbet : 1 1/2 pint size is $22.00.
