Featuring plant based ingredients, elevated cooking techniques, a creative beverage list and a colorful ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Blossom & Root is the Tri-Valley dining destination for anyone curious about - or naturally inclined towards contemporary vegan fare with an "Eat Local" emphasis. Private dining is available. The pretty space is full of blue patterns and hues, with lots of plants (decorative and possibly edible). Featuring just as creative of a bar program as menu. Joe Steiner has elevated the bar program to match our eclectic menu by Chef Chris Johnson. Together the team puts out beautiful food and beverages not to be missed.

Come join us for a fantastic pairing of Identity Wines with Chef Chris Johnson's special menu. Your seat(s) will be held with the credit card. Charges will not be made until the dinner takes place. No-shows will be charged $40 per person on the card that was used to hold the reservation. Changes to your reservation can be made 72hrs in advance with no charge.

Love how this restaurant changes up their menus - always fun to try different things - last night, the “crab” cakes were terrific and with the addition of a cup of corn chowder, I was stuffed. We shared the sourdough toast with honey and blue cheese which is soooo good! Place was busy last night and everyone eating indoors made for a rather loud environment but otherwise another great evening.

We keep coming back to this place even though it’s a drive. One of our favorite all vegan restaurants in the Bay.

What a fun evening we had here. I had the corn chowder and the mushroom steak salad with a vegan blue cheese that I would swear was actual blue cheese. My friend had the crabcakes and the lettuce wraps. Every bite of all four dishes was delightful. Service was relaxed, friendly and fabulous.

All staff were very friendly and attentive. Waitress was knowledgeable about happy to answer questions about ingredients. While pricy, you definitely get your money’s worth, enough for leftovers. Would definitely recommend.

A friend follows a vegan diet and my husband is vegetarian, so they were thrilled to be able to order anything off the menu. I requested the outdoor patio and we were lucky enough to score the only 4 top table. There was also a 2-person high top, a 2-person table and 2 couch areas with a central low table. The chilled cucumber soup was divine. I like mushrooms but the "crab cakes" made with mushrooms were a little too slimy for me. The mushroom lettuce cups were very good, but I wish the waiter would have told me about the various herbs served with the lettuce so I could experiment with the herbs when I filled my lettuce. My husband thought the "cheese" on the "burger" was a bit too sticky (as vegan cheese tend to be). The menu changes seasonally so we'll be back to try more dishes. Note about noise level: The outdoor area was quiet with a bit of music playing through a speaker overhead. The indoors got quite noisy. It was a Wednesday night but there were a couple of festive groups inside. The restaurant is in the renovated historic Danville hotel building. I believe there were 1 small dining area and 1 medium sized dining area inside.

We had the same server again and he truly makes the experience extra special for us! Everyone here is so lovely, the food is so good and we are so grateful there’s such a wonderful vegan restaurant close by!

We love Blossom & Root and are regular, loyal customers. Our favorite is the Caeser Salad, however, the new chef changed rhe delicious croutons with breadcrumbs. Can croutons still be an option? This is why I rated you a 4*. Also, Hannah is an awesome server and so bubbly! She always meets our needs! Tyvm!

I had brunch with a friend. The weather was nice so we sat outside. Before I sat down someone came over and asked if I would like sparkling water. They brought it right out. I had their French toast with peaches and large blackberries. Delicious! My friend had split an order with the idea of taking the left overs home. The breakfast burrito, smash burger with potato salad was so flavorful. Haven’t had a bad experience there at all. Joe is always pleasant and attentive.
