Bloom Southern Kitchen is a farm to table restaurant located in the historic Eagle Tavern, a local landmark since 1702.

Bloom’s teams are focused on delivering an incredible dining experience that begins in the kitchen with local ingredients. Dining in our restaurant transports you to the south where charming hospitality and incredible cocktails await.

Due to our commitment to using seasonal and local ingredients, our menu items may change based on availability.

We’re open daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. We welcome you to our restaurant and look forward to serving you.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and yummy menu . I thought the prices were a bit high, but I did order an egg dish.

what food we had was good but our reservation was for 330pm. there is a very limited menu for that hour because too late for lunch menu and too early for dinner menu so you can only have very few choices. so limited at least 1 couple left due to this limitation. our waiter was excellent. prices were so so for what we got. really went to see how they redid the old eagle tavern that was there previously so stayed to observe the environment.

We were so excited to try this place out. We made a reservation and were seated pretty quickly. We tried the hush puppy appetizer which was delish and came out quickly. Then we had to wait almost 40 min for our entrees. I got the chicken and waffles. The waffle was soggy and the chicken was over cooked and dry. My husband got the French toast which arrived cold to the table. They offered to re make it but we didn’t have time to sit there and wait. They did comp us for my husbands meal. We won’t be back anytime soon.

The food was delicious! We had the short ribs, seafood jambalaya and 2 salmon dishes as well as shared a couple of appetizers. There were 4 in our party. We got dessert to go! Our wait to get our main courses was 30+ minutes which seemed a bit long, especially since we ate early (6:15 reservation). We will surely return and hope the wait is shorter.

Sounds like you had an amazing meal : ) We pride ourselves on having a fresh scratch kitchen, and therefore some dishes may take longer to prepare. For future visits... our busiest times range from 6pm - 730pm; Thursday through Saturday, and an exquisite Brunch - Sundays Only - from 10am - 3pm. The menu had a variety of lunch meals. We both had the gumbo and shrimp salad on the focacia bread. The ice tea was on the weak side, but the lunch was excellent. The banana/wafer/caramel was excellent, as well. The only problem was that it took awhile to get the dessert and to get the check. A window blew out of its track which was unsettling to those who sat near it. Those customers should have been moved immediately to tables away from the area. The window fell again and finally the customers asked to be moved away from that area. We will be coming back. It could be the ghost of Eagle Tavern that played that nasty trick.

Had a lovely experience at Bloom with co-workers. Our server was the perfect combination of friendly, and helpful and authentic (not too over the top). We enjoyed everything that was ordered. The vibe is good. I think you'll enjoy it. Recommend!
