Orange County-based restaurateur Russ Bendel and partners are bringing a sister restaurant to his thriving wine country concepts to the San Juan Capistrano dining scene.

Bloom is an all-encompassing dining experience, featuring craft cocktails, an extensive wine list, and craft beer selections.

Located directly across from the Mission of San Juan on the corner of Old Mission Road and Camino Capistrano.

Bloom has become one of our three favorite restaurants in South Orange County. The ambiance is amazing and the food is great. The Jidori chicken is fabulous and the fries are tremendous. Ryan is a great server.

We are foodies and this is one of our favorite places in town, come often and Joshua always takes great care of us. You’re fine combinations here you will see nowhere else, my favorite is the meatloaf.😊

The chicken piccata was delicious and the salmon was amazing, both excellent choices. A great location for an upbeat evening, such a nice addition to the neighborhood.

From the moment we entered the restaurant the staff at Bloom made us feel welcome and appreciated. Managing director, Joshua Nelson was the consummate host and Shelby, our waitress, was attentive and engaging. The drinks were strong and the food was yummy. All in all, a wonderful night out. I

From being served cold swordfish to our server forgetting to serve our side vegetables, this was not a memorable dining experience.

First time here, I really like the vibe here, the staff was fast and friendly, the restaurant had a really chill vibe, great low key date night spot. My wife had the bacon wrapped meatloaf w/ mac and cheese (5 stars) and I had the 45 day aged ribeye w/blue cheese potatoes (5 stars) the food and the service were top notch, my only recommendation is to get rid of the wood booth in the back it was uncomfortable and the table was to small for our plates. We will definitely be back!

Every time Bloom staff delivers an amazing experience. Chef and staff care about their customers. Josh runs a great shop. Top notch!

One of our favorites due to food and service. We stuck with a frank family cab ($130) which is typical of the price. 2 ladies ordered the lambshank special and I had the jidori wedge. It is a lot of food especially following pate and squash blossoms and fries. But the apps might be the tastiest part of the menu! Both entrees were excellent. Overall a great evening out.
