The name BLOCK ONE represents the first vineyard planted in 2009 and is very special to
Proprietors Sheri-Lee and Curtis. “It taught us to be farmers; to be ONE with the land. There are things we will never experience again. That vineyard block represents the past – the starting point, getting our
hands dirty, all the ‘firsts’ of our business”. BLOCK ONE represents the future as this vineyard block now produces some of the estate’s finest fruit for our international award-winning wines. You will be amazed by the outdoor seating area of the restaurant. Seating is covered by an engineering wonder in a one-of-a-kind cantilever that is already drawing attention in the world's architectural community. The restaurant moves to an equally impressive indoor space during inclement days and in the winter months.

All groups of 6 and larger are subject to an auto-gratuity of 20%. At this moment we do not have a dog friendly table available.

Had share and small plates and a dessert%. The crab cake was dry but all other plates were very good.

Enjoyed a great lunch after a wine tour with some friends, food was great as always. Our tour guide was phenomenal (I wish I could remember her name). Only disappointment was that when our bill for lunch came, an auto gratuity of 20% was added. We have dined here numerous times and never seen this prior. Typically we have tipped 20-25% when dining here (being an upscale place), but it seemed strange to auto gratuity a table of 6; I also don’t even believe that it said they would do this on the menus. For whatever reason the gratuity piece left a bad taste, especially after picking up a wine club order, buying another couple hundred in wine and tipping our tour guide; felt a bit “judged”.

Excellent service. Crab cakes are divine. Main course is over-priced for two bits of duck. The dessert was absolutely delicious and luckily much bigger than their main course!

So I wrote in the special requests for staff to acknowledge or even just one staff member to acknowledge a birthday wish. A simple “Happy Birthday”. Both hostess didn’t recognize that request or any staff that monitors the reservations. I know it’s a slim request and maybe not everyone would agree with wishing a stranger a happy birthday, but the fact remains that it’s someone’s birthday and I asked if that could be done. Apparently that’s too much to ask for. Food was amazing, drinks were cold and amazing perfect service too; speedy. Super not impressed the special request wasn’t met. I would eat here again 100% just setting the bar very low for if you want expectations for a special request I know for a fact they will be ignored.

It’s always a special experience dining at Block One, 50th Parallel. The staff is attentive and makes you feel special. The food is delicious with a wonderful presentation and the wine is gold standard and so tasty. Highly recommend .

Our meal here was outstanding! The service was incredible and the food overall was spectacular. Also really enjoyed that our server explained some favourites on the menu and pointed us in the direction of some delicious items!
