Blessing of the Sun is a new restaurant in Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast offering Asian Fusion cuisine along with some European influences. Led by Chef Kohta, the restaurant focuses on share plate style dining and seasonal ingredients, providing guests with a culinary experience that celebrates flavours from around the world.

An intimate, yet vibrant space welcomes all to enjoy Kohta's lovingly prepared food! Hint: try our specialty Mushroom & Truffle Gnocchi or Japanese Curry Arancini for the ultimate comfort food.

The food was amazing! Freshly cooked, and so flavourful. The curry arancini, and the Spanish garlic prawns in particular were spectacular! A super cute restaurant, the service was great as well!

The food here is just fabulous. Flavours are perfectly balanced and every dish is a 10/10. Love the balance between vegetarian and meat dishes to cater for dietary differences. The staff are friendly too which adds to the dining experience.

Chef Kohta’s exquisite creations, especially the Citrus Cured Smoked Salmon and Spanish Garlic Prawns...delicious. The special Sunday Tacos were outstanding (fresh hand made sift tacos)! Cayle’s exceptional service and perfectly crafted Old Fashioned made the dining experience unforgettable. A perfect blend of culinary excellence and warm hospitality! Felt like we were the only guests in the restaurant. Lovely menu with lots of vegetarian options to pick from too! Don't miss out.

A beautiful little restaurant that only has a limited menu but all the dishes are done to the highest standards. The chef is from Japan and the food is a mixture from that country and others, with wonderful flavours. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and most other diners were regulars which always means that the standard is consistently high.

This place is a treasure. The food is like a beautiful, delicious hug, with simple but refined flavours. The drinks are also really amazing.

What a find. Brilliant food. Japanese flavour with European influence. Great customer interaction. Wait staff, Cayle, was so informative of the dishes. Booked again for next week. Highly recommend this small but excellent restaurant.
