Way better than our first visit. Ethan was our server. It was his first day, but he did a great job. The Greek salad, rockfish and duck were outstanding. Don't get the halibut... The small room where the booths are located is too bright and it was VERY loud in there with large parties. Otherwise, a major improvement on this - our second visit.

One of the best brunches in the DMV. Nicholas’s service was amazing. He was prompt and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Great service! Good Food! Automatic gratuity and service charges hurt more than help. I always start with 20% and then go higher depending on service.

The staff was very nice but the service and food was just average. Our parm Maui Maui was tasteless. Quite expensive for a subpar dish. Our water glasses were never refilled. No one checked on us to see if we needed anything. We had to flag down the waiter to ask for coffee and we were never asked if we wanted dessert. On the up side, the flaming crab dip was excellent. What’s with the seats in the booths in the side room? How could a diner be expected to be two feet away from the table and be able to reach their food? No moving the benches. We did realize the problem early and asked to be reseated. This was our third visit but I’m not in any hurry to go back. It’s a beautiful venue but I wish that our experience had been better.

I might have to try this again but I wasn't really impressed. Maybe it's because I'm gluten free,which sux. I had the crispy chicken, an old fashioned (drink) and a flourless chocolate cake. Everything looked good but it lacked flavor (entree). The cake was mediocre and I've had many a flourless chocolate cake. It definitely could be less firm. The drink was good. I enjoyed that. I feel like I need to give it another try and then will update my review.

We had a positive experience on our first visit and we look forward to coming back soon! Handsome dining room, friendly staff, great menu and terrific food. A few nits: our server would benefit from more training; the crab dip was pricey; my halibut was a bit overcooked but still delicious. We recommend Blackwall Lodge and Barn!

A few weeks ago we visited their Gambrills establishment for brunch and were very impressed. We thought we’d try this location (Columbia) for dinner. We were not disappointed. Will be returning soon to try other dishes.
