    I specifically chose your restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. When I scheduled the reservation, I was asked what was the occasion - I typed Birthday. I also asked if she could get Chocolate Mousse with a candle. We never were acknowledged for her birthday, and we believe it is possible that the acknowledgement went to a different table. As good as the food was, we were both not sure the dinner was worth $300, but that was OK.

    This is my wife's and my "go to" special occasion restaurant. I have never been disappointed. Greeted promptly at the door and was escorted to a great table on the wall. Table was just the right size as many restaurants put you at mini tables that barely hold 2 dishes. Caesar was our waiter and not only had a great personality, he anticipated everything we needed. Drinks, food and wine were spaced and timed perfectly. The food is superb! We both opted for Filets and were done perfectly. Between the apps, (Escargot and salad) sides (mashed, mushrooms, and crispy onions) we barely had room for dessert, but did! Wine was excellent and poured as needed. (who still does that? Just professionals!) We had plenty of doggie bags filled with great treats for the next day. I highly recommend as this is a great standard for the grand old steakhouse.

    From beginning to end this restaurant was excellent. The seafood tower-Amazing The ribeye-perfectly prepared, the halibut was the best I have ever had, and it's my favorite fish, so I have had it in many places. The vegetable dishes were all beautifully seasoned. The waiter William provided excellent service. ABSOLUTELY no complaints- well one- I wish I had left a little room for dessert.

    This place is a hidden gem! The service and attention we received from Ceasar was top notch. We had clams on the half and shrimp cocktail, very fresh and the cocktail sauce was very good. I had the bone in ribeye and my wife had the 10oz filet. Both were cooked to perfection!! The attention to detail and overall experience was a 10 and we can’t wait to go back!

    we have been to blackstones in stamford many times and had a great time. This time in Norwalk there were a few issues - they have 5 bottles of Malbec on the menu and they couldnt find one of them even though they have a fancy numbering and racking system - that was very awkward for 10 minutes....and the food was not great - I had a NY Strip and it was overcooked and tough. But the only other choices are filiet's or a 32 oz rib eye - why cant you get a normal rib eye that normal people eat? Not everyone lives here, so dont assume you can take it home - so you pay 2x than what you need. The service is very good - people are very friendly.

    We purposely drive the extra distance down to the Norwalk location because we feel the ambiance and service is the best at this location. The main reason we have dinner here is to celebrate a special occasion whether it be a birthday, anniversary, graduation, induction into an honor society, etc. The food is always outstanding and cooked to our liking, the servers are always attentive without being overbearing, and we never feel rushed. It's always a relaxing evening. Most of the time I order a steak and my husband orders a seafood dish. This past visit, three of us had steak and one had the shrimp special. Each of our steaks were cooked exactly the way we like it. You don't always get that at other restaurants. I definitely have and will continue to recommend Blackstones Steakhouse to friends and family.
