We visited Bend for our anniversary and wanted a good steakhouse to go to. Blacksteer came highly recommended. It started amazing with Megan who greeted us at the door and was incredibly friendly. We were early for our reservation so we went the bar where we had Joe as our bartender. He made great drinks and was fun to talk to! Then we sat at our table and Brandon was our server. Fabulous guy! He treated us like gold!! Aaron the head chef has great food coming out of the kitchen. 10/10 on all fronts. Cannot wait to go back and visit this place.

Excellent steak and rigatoni last night! All the sides and appetizers were amazing. It was late, about 1930, just before closing so food took about 70 minutes to come out but we were having fun anyways. Will be back!

Our waiter (Brandon?) was exceptional for our group of 7. The food cost was really high for a la carte but the food was superb. Steaks were cooked to perfection, I had the seasonal acorn squash which was delicious and the bread was wonderful. Everyone in our group was delighted! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Ambiance is nice, staff is nice and food is very good….but service is lacking. Need more staff.

We were blown away by how cheap it felt for how expensive it was. ANY of the other good steakhouses in Bend OR Redmond FAR exceed this place. The food was not bad but it was not worth even close to what they charge. I have NO problem paying for food if it’s worth it but this is not! I would compare it to an Applebees but just a tiny step above. Very disappointed and won’t be back. We’ll stick to RBC or Brickhouse!

It was okay. It’s such a nice place but they are suffering from all the road construction. As a result, they have modified the menu and took away some items that we would have ordered and raised their prices. Items like the baked potato, the small size filet and prime rib. The service was stressed, they didn’t appear to have enough server’s. I feel really bad because I think this is a direct response to a drop in customers.

The restaurant was very cold. Was cold outside and had air on. Big place not a lot of customers one server doing her best. Food was better than ok. Overall not special enough to return.

Reservation was canceled by the restaurant through no fault of their own. (Power outage due to local wildfire). We actually received a text message saying that they were sorry and that they had to cancel our reservation.

Overall disappointed. Two glasses of tap beer took 15-20 min. No excuse, there were only four other people in the place. Burger was good, should have been great for $20, fries were over salted, greasy and smaller that shoe string, could not even eat 1/4 of them. Desert, well $14 for carrot cake that was a child size portion. Sad, this was to be a nice first wedding anniversary dinner, that by the way we did mention on the reservation that did not matter. We won't be back.
