We are positively giddy with excitement to announce that we'll be opening this Autumn in bustling Peter Street! Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse.

We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

The food here was outstanding. We had a steak and also the lamb, with sweet potato, and everything was great. The stand out item though is of course the cheesecake! There was a bit of a wait on food (about 40 minutes) but we were very looked after by the waitress who gave us a mini portion of the cheesecake as a starter as we were so keen to try it. Great service and food overall, we will definitely be going back,

Very nice meal,staff was brilliant and very helpful. Brought me and my wife a card over because we was celebrating a anniversary, will definitely be going again

Amazing service all night and the food was delicious. The waitress even recommended the chop sauce which was ridiculously good!

For starter I had Focaccia and it was amazing. Had the Denver and fillet steak both medium rare and unbelievable, accompanied by the beef dripping chips which were to die for. The beef gravy sauce is the best sauce 100%. The whole meal and experience was 10/10 and very good value for money. Will be returning asap

Great value for money, and a stunning restaurant. We had the “all in” from the menu, which gives you a sample of all the chops - lovely. The sauces are really tasty too. The staff were very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. We’ll definitely be returning.

Fantastic to have Blacklock in Manchester after visiting the London Soho and City branches for many years. Nice to be met by familiar faces (Amy - who is a star!) who have come to ensure Manchester runs as efficiently as London does. The food is as superb as ever - great menu, melt in the mouth steaks - and a wide range of drinks to wash it all down with. The venue is well designed - large but intimate, and nice to see some of the building's original features retained. We were here for butcher price Mondays (great value) and will be returning on Sunday for their famous roasts. A welcome addition to the Manchester restaurant scene, and I wish them all the best for the future.

Great food provided in a classic setting, presented by professional, friendly staff. Big fan of Blacklock City of London and it appears that Manchester is going to be just as fabby. Sunday roast was delicious, went for the All In and highly recommend it. Food is fabulous, atmosphere great, staff are friendly, what more can you want!?

Having experienced the Covent garden version. I was looking forward immensely to this visit. However, I didn't realise it was a ' Sunday roast only' kind of deal. Having said that, the mixed sharer roast we shared was phenomenal. The gravy was absolutely delicious as well. Topped off with an old fashioned to finish. I'm more than sure we will be back ..
