​​​​​​​We are positively giddy with excitement to announce that we'll be opening this Autumn in bustling Peter Street! Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse.

We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    Both service and food were fantastic. One of the party is pescatarian and found loads of options on the menu. The coal roasted squash was so delicious, as was everything else ordered. The wine on tap was really tasty and great to have option of a carafe. We will 100% be back very soon. Thank you to all the team for making it a really memorable experience.

    I was excited to try this new restaurant for lunch, particularly having seen the promo video with the sharing platter. Unfortunately as the cut of the chops are so thin the meat had dried out and what looked to be a spectacular feast was very average. The service and atmosphere was great and the building provides a nice backdrop but unfortunately the food let you down.

    The staff were fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The menu is clearly laid out and the food was cooked perfectly.

    It was alright but not much of a dining experience Got there early but still had to wait an extra 15 mins on top of our booked time for the table so abit disappointed Sharing platter was ok but nothing like what you see these foodie guys getting to advertise the place The plates you eat off are tiny, the same size as a side dish so you can’t put meat veg and a Yorkshire on the same plate 🤷🏻‍♂️ Table next to us got loads of meat so guess we were just unlucky We ordered some nice red wine that was £11 a glass (175ml) but came freezing cold I was told by a very nice man they don’t serve red wine by the glass at room temperature as it’s out of a keg in the cellar so that was abit rubbish considering we are in restaurant Would I go back? Probably not

    Good here is exceptional. The Manchester restaurant has opened recently and is now exception. We had the all in Sunday roast. Delicious and and abundance of food. Finished with the obligatory white chocolate cheesecake. Have gone home full and happy.

    Most amazing roast I’ve ever had. The gravy was out of this world and is unlimited with the roast dinner. Staff were so friendly and helpful

    Food, staff and building was all 5 star, only thing id change is music, it was a bit loud for Sunday afternoon with the family

    Kelly who served us was lovely and the roast was awesome. The meat and the gravy were particularly yummy. Relaxed non-pretentious vibes.

    We visited on a Sunday. The roast dinner was good. But, the plates super cold. So, as soon as you put your food onto the plate it went cold. I didn’t realise that on a Sunday they only do a roast dinner and no other food. My son is autistic and only wanted a steak and chips. I asked the waiter if they could help with this and he just said no. He didn’t even ask the kitchen if something could be done. Shame really. I’ve visited in London midweek and it’s amazing good with fabulous service.

    Excellent food service and value. We had the all in Sunday lunch with unlimited gravy! Northern boys love gravy, give it a try. 👍
