This is our go to favourite place for the best quality chops and steaks. Today’s visit was made even more special thanks to Louis our waiter who snuck my husband a quick taster of our he white chocolate cheesecake (his favourite dessert) as we had no time for pudding on this occasion. It’s touches like that that make us come back over and over again.

Excellent evening with great food and drinks! The steak quality is exceptional and we loved the sides. Really good service and the cocktails were on point.

This was a very disappointing experience for my Dad’s birthday. Food: we had the ‘all in’ meal - the starter bites were completely inedible, but the food was redeemed by the chops, which were delicious. We were looking forward to the crumble which was advertised on the board, but when we came to order we were told the menu had changed the day before. Service: it was almost impossible to get staff attention, the food was slapped down on the table in a rush and our table was in a main path for the staff - a couple of whom got visibly annoyed when they couldn’t immediately get through because we were trying to take our coats off to sit down (no coat room offered). Very sad as it was my Father’s birthday and this pu a dampener on the evening.

We were very happy with our Sunday roast at Blacklock. It was the perfect end to a week in London. It’s truly a hidden gem set back off the street in what looks like an alleyway. Our table was ready almost as soon as we arrived. We began with cocktails and then ordered the beef and the pork roast. The meat was tender and well seasoned. We both enjoyed the Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and carrots. There was more food than we could eat, but we still split a huge portion of homemade white chocolate cheesecake. It’s worth reserving a spot for Sunday roast at Blacklock.

Blacklock was superb in every way. Quality of food that tasted as it should, great. Service was excellent. Cocktails are lovely and we had a few ☺️. I can’t recommend Blacklock enough. Just a tip, have the mushrooms on toast. It’s amazing.
