                                                                We have been to the Blacklock on a number of occasions where the food has been outstanding, the service has been the best we have ever experienced. However on this occassion whilst the meat was perfectly cooked the vegetables were cold the gravey was lukewarm. The waitress was friendly but said on a few occasions that she would bring something or come back and didn't. I have always given a 5 star review but on this occasion with the service and the food I cannot justify a 5 star review.

                                                                Service was erratic, 1 out of 4 starters not available and 2 out of 6 steaks not available. Ordered to be told after that the items were sold out. Missed parts of the order and to top it off the table was by a cupboard with staff barging past during the meal (not an excuse me in sight). Music was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation and the toilets were a disgrace. Food was good but the experience was very disappointing, will not be back any time soon.

                                                                We had a brilliant birthday lunch for my 13 year old at Blacklock. The service was quick and attentive and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, even including a special birthday dessert! The food was exceptional and really good value, we’ll definitely be back.

                                                                A lot of the food was very salty. The choice of sides was limited. The wine ordered wasn’t in its own bottle and strangely chilled for a red wine. Presented with someone else’s bill and took a couple of attempts to get the right one.

                                                                Fabulous food and ambience. This was a great meal and we were very happy with the steaks and sides. The wine was very nice too. Our only disappointment was the service, we were served by several different people and our main server took our drinks and food away far too quickly. Not only did we miss out on the final bits of drink we were still enjoying but we also felt rushed, despite the fact it was late and there were plenty of tables available should anybody turn up for a sitting.

                                                                Excellent service and very tasty food as always. Blacklock is the only place I enjoy sweet potato! Rib of beef was excellent. Gravy to die for.
