Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

I have visited many steal restaurants around the uk. This steak restaurant is miles better than any other I have visited. The rib eye is phenomenal, The chips are phenomenal the best I have ever had anywhere on the 3 occasions I’ve been. The chop sauce, Phenomenal. Downside, Always busy and crowded. Would like more table room and a bit Quieter. The service excellent, better choice of starters would be better. I’ve left the umbrella there today 🤦🏻. Always a banger here, can’t wait to return. Would love to try a porterhouse.

We sat at one of the 4 seater booths, the table is quite small and felt a bit cramped for 3 average sized guys, if there was a 4th there would have been no room on the table. We shared the 1.1Kg porterhouse cooked medium rare. it was perfectly done and a good piece of meat. The sides included Kale, Chips, Sweet potatoe & leafy greens. the chips are amazing. sauces with the steak we chose gravy & bone marrow both are delicious. Overall a great restaurant, good ambience and very good food.

Brilliant meal at Blacklock with clients and colleagues. Food is so reliably excellent and the servers took great care of us and were both welcoming and knowledgeable.

Fantastic food but the drink was all wrong. No malbec and what seems to be a recent London thing half pint skooners which are a waste of time. Food great, drinks rubbish.

Came to Blacklock, after doing some research online for a good Sunday roast in London due to being there for work. Oh my. What a roast, utterly outstanding. Likely the best I've ever had, that's even my own & I absolutely smash a roast when I do one. Can't fault the food at all.

Excellent Sunday roast! We enjoyed the “all in” option which gave us a generous portion of meat, pudding and vegetables. The service was spot on and we would definitely recommend to take family or friends here to celebrate a special event.

Outstanding place for Sunday Roast. Best lamb I ever had. Great setting, superb food, excellent staff. Highly recommend.
