Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

Erratic service, confused and slow. My first steak was overcooked because of confusion between the chef and waitress. A fresh steak was provided but the sides were delivered to the table 10mins after the mains. By which time the steaks were cold. We arrived at 12:30 to beat the rush but still got swamped in the general orders. Disappointed overall.

One of the best Roasts in London. Very good food and the best gravy I can recall. Service is laid back, but professional. Every element is executed really well. I’d highly recommend and will visit again

Great food, great vibe and service. Although the portion for cheesecake for dessert was less than usual! Albeit it is usually way too much!
