Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

Blacklock City came highly recommended as the go to place for Sunday Roast and without a doubt it absolutely is the best spot for Sunday Roast! The food was phenomenal, the staff were amazing, kind and generous. If you’re in London on a Sunday it definitely should be on the list to eat there.

Outstanding food as always, some of the best beef I’ve ever had. Staff were great, super friendly, and gave us free drinks to apologise for the wait for food

Delicious, meat was excellent. Only gave four stars due to the fact we found the gravy became overpowering after a while due to being so salty. We had to stop eating because of this.

Genuinely one of the best roasts I've had, and Dermot our server was amazing! My friends were late as they went to the wrong one but he was super nice and accomodated us so we didn't have to rush at all. Best bloody mary in London as well. Thank you for a great meal!

As always this restaurant ticks all the boxes on service, food, quality and price. The City Blacklock is definitely my fav of all of them
