Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

Met a long standing friend for dinner. We usually go to one of the Blacklock reatuarants because we know the quality is always good. The steak was excellent and the chips were some of the best I have had anywhere. I started with the chops which were also excellent. A very reasonably priced Primitivo wine complemented the meal perfectly. Service was very good and the meal was reasonable priced - as far as meals in central London go. I will say the sides weren’t the best I have had and I think the choice is very limited. However, I still think this place is 5 star and so consistent.

Great food, especially for sharing as a larger group. The restaurant were really accommodating as we had to increase our booking size on the day. Would definitely go back again.

We had a brilliant experience at Blacklock city today, from the welcome to the food it was all fantastic. Really looked after us and the food was outstanding. The beef rib starter and cheesecake desert were our favourites. Highly recommend

As always fabulous experience at Blacklock. Food incredible and all the staff are incredible, always friendly and go above and beyond. Will be returning again.

The staff were amazing so too the food. Had to go after seeing Garry Eats on YouTube. It more than lived up to expectations.

Food was good. Drinks was ok. Service ok felt. Was very pressured to order fast eat fast pay fast and leave fast. Guess that’s their business model.
