Felicia Wilson-Bell and Executive Chef Darryl Harmon have teamed up for the second time to launch a newly successful restaurant – BlackHen Fried Chicken. Dinner for two. I had 1/4 chicken dark, Mac & cheeses/ yams. He had 1/2 chicken, collards & cinnamon apples. We shared an order of deviled eggs. Both our meals were really good. Our only complaint was the Mac & cheeses a bit salty. Not sure if it was one of the cheeses that can gave it a salty taste or made w/ too much salt. Still was a well enjoyed meal. We will be returning.

Food was great and prices were not bad at all. This restaurant can get pretty crowded and they have limited dining space. Would recommend making a reservation. Service was prompt. I would definitely go again.

I had an excellent time with my lady! The energy and environment was very nice for the area that the restaurant was in. I was made to feel very welcome and the staff was very attentive and engaging. I would return and recommend this location for sure! I only wish there were more menu selections otherwise it was a great time!

The food was HORRIBLE!! The greens were very spicy & too salty!! The green beans were spicier than the greens & they were salty as well! The macaroni was just flat out tasteless! The chicken was hard on the outside & light pink in the middle. I was asked if we wanted cornbread for the table, never were we informed that it was a fee. They gave us two morse sized pieces of cornbread( both pieces together was the same size as one of those little Hawaiian rolls that you buy from the market for three people) and charged us $8.00

I took my sister there to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the deviled eggs as the appetizer, and they were delicious! We then ordered our meals- I had the chicken and waffles, and my sister had the fried chicken stack. My meal was exquisite, and my sister could not get over hers as well! There was so much food we needed to take take out containers for them. We indulged in their fried oreos for dessert, and they were scrumptious! The restaurant was clean, lively, and we watched enviously at other tables receiving food we didn't order that looked SOOOOO good!

My experience was great; Me and friend went together and the food was absolute amazing and the vibe of the restaurant was very original, cute and clean. The staff was so polite and fast, everything was excellent. 10/10 will be back

I had an amazing experience at Black Hen. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to entrees to dessert, nothing disappointed. I highly recommend the deviled eggs, the fried chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection with great sauce to compliment and the peach cobbler hand pies were the perfect ending. The restaurant is small but has a great vibe. The servers were friendly, timely and helpful with recommendations. but the star of the show for me was the great music. It was a great evening at Black Hen.

My husband and I enjoyed Black Hen! The chicken was DELICIOUS. It was seasoned well and reminded me of the church fried platters back in the day. I also had Mac and cheese which was scrumptious and candied yams. For an appetizer I had fried green tomatoes. I didn’t really like them bc they were too thin, all I tasted was breading. I would definitely return. Oh, the service was great too and the food came out quick.
