The Black Swan Inn is a newly refurbished gastro pub situated above the bustling fishing port of Seahouses and drawing from a wealth of locally sourced ingredients. The Black Swan promises a unique and memorable dining experience. When booking, we need to make you aware that dogs are not permitted in our Restaurant area. However, your dog is more than welcome in our Orangery from 11.30am to 3pm daily and in our bar and courtyard area at any time, tables of which are non-reservable and are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Really glad we happened upon the Black Swan. It was a special treat for our last day in Seahouses. The food was amazing and presented beautifully and the decor of the restaurant has a rustic yet cosy feel. Special thanks to our waiter who was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. Would highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening at the Black Swan Exciting cocktails & The Seafood platter. We weren’t disappointed the cocktail was on fire literally & the platter was amazing. There was so much fish we didn’t do it justice. The staff were lovely. Would highly recommend & would certainly go back. Thank you.

Absolutely the best pub we’ve been to for a long time. Great food, great drinks (especially cocktails), great service and a really lovely experience.

Had Sunday lunch here. The roast beef was plentiful and very tender. A lovely selection of tasty vegetables and a well-risen Yorkshire pudding. Extra gravy available on request. Service was swift. Thoroughly recommend.

Good food. Prices at the upper end of what's available locally. Nicely decorated and modern. We played safe with fish and chips and it was very well presented. The pub is part of the restaurant and was spacious. Neither restaurant nor the pub section were too busy or noisy but everyone seems to suggest booking at all the main Seahouses restaurants is essential.

Family of 4 adults - we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - fish & chips, lobster, mussels & lamb - nothing was left (except some chips and that was just because we were full), with scallops & fresh bread to start. Staff were friendly, was a little quiet when we arrived just home 5pm, but was busy when we left at 7.30. Highly recommend.

This place almost gets it right. Lovely venue, food is great but…they just can’t do consistent service. Booked a table but told there was a wait time of 30 minutes in the kitchen. We weren’t in a rush but it’s just not a sign of good organisation. Had to ask for drinks each time and we weren’t knocking them back! Been here at least 20 times in last 2 years and it’s always the same - keep supporting as it’s a lovely place but they need to sort themselves out.

First visit. Fabulous food supported by friendly staff. Good VFM. Ate in the Orangery which was dog friendly. The only issue was finding a parking space but we will definitely return
