Black Rock Bar & Grill, an award winning steakhouse specializing in certified angus beef steaks served on a sizzling stone. Due to our high volume and traffic, we cannot hold tables for parties like a reservation system. We have a system called Priority Seating. This system secures a table within our restaurant, however, it does not guarantee an exact seat by time. Priority is placed on your party, and if we are on a wait, your party is placed on top of the wait list as a priority. We will seat you as fast as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact time. If the restaurant is not busy, we will seat the party upon arrival.

Be prepared for a smoky, noisy and bustling environment. Since most guests want to cook their meal at the table using the hot rock, the restaurant can become very smoky with grease particles floating in the air. The table cooking can also contribute to the restaurant’s noise levels and guests trying to talk above the sounds of searing steaks and other food. The restaurant is also very busy with servers and staff pushing service carts back and forth from the kitchen and dining room tables. I imagine this is done to avoid dropping hot black rocks on guests. Overall, the food is good, service is attentive and the experience is unique. Just prepare yourself for the unusual atmosphere as well.

Our only problem was deciding what to order! We ate way too much but everything was amazingly good. The filet on the black rock was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The monster lobster bisque was delicious and the lobster dip and Brussels sprouts were also very flavorful. We cant wait to go back.

Blackrock has great food and a great experience cooking. What I like is every bite is hot just like the first. I love the different flavors of the sauces/butter. Always worth every dollar.

The service was way better than the food. DRINKS (6) - i had the mango margarita (Happy Hour special). it was OK. the mango syrup was too sweet for my liking - bf got the sangria (also Happy Hour special). he did not finish it. APPETIZER (7.5) - we ordered the spinach artichoke dip at the waitresses recommendation. it came out sizzling like fajitas. not necessarily a bad thing but it wasn’t gooey like you expect a cheese dip to be. the pita chips that came with the dip were a bit on the salty side but otherwise good. ENTREE (food 8, experience 6) - me: 6oz filet bf: 10oz rib eye - we opted for the cook-at-the-table experience. cute concept but we wouldn’t do it again. there’s no ventilation at the table. we were literally choking on the smoke. the waitress shows you how to best cook the meat. it comes with some house made butter which was pretty good. SIDES (5) - French onion soup was not good AT ALL. we were very disappointed as we both love french onion soup. there was too much wine and no seasoning. not even a pinch of salt. no pepper. it also was not cheesy enough. the waitress removed the soups from our bill. - House salad was nothing special. basic iceberg lettuce, little bit of shredded cheddar, etc. - Baked sweet potato too much brown sugar but overall not bad
