With a commitment to the freshest and best quality ingredients, Black Olive offers a dining experience based on the simplicity and sincerity of the Mediterranean diet. The restaurant's airy, elegant setting is reminiscent of the true Greek cuisine. Founder and chef Penny Delimaris has crafted the menu to reflect a meal you would eat if you were to stumble upon a Greek tavern in the country side. Our specialty is for sure our hand made Pites and Desserts.

                                                                          We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food was very good. Love the charcoal oven. Service was great. Our server was attentive but we did not feel rushed at all. The mural on the wall is beautiful. Beyond that, the larger room feels a little sterile but I would not let that deter me from coming back.

                                                                          We were disappointed with dinner. The appetizers (octopus, Haloumi cheese, beets) were very good. But the service was very slow after that and our plates were not cleared quickly. When the entrees finally arrived, the chicken souvlaki and mixed grill were overdone. The portions were also small. There wasn't much chicken on the souvlaki and for $35, the mixed grill didn't have enough food on the plate. The mousakka should have come with a fresh vegetable, in our opinion. We were suprised that the service was so incosistent-fine at first then slowed down considerably after the appetizers. And then two of the entrees were overcooked. It was surprising because the dining room wasn't even half full. I doubt we'll come back to Black Olive.

                                                                          First time diners at The Black Olive. We went based on reviews and an interesting menu. Everything was excellent. From a very nice open dining room to excellent service and great food. Being a byob is a bonus. We look forward to returning

                                                                          Delicious food and attentive staff. Large portions as well. Worth the price of the dishes. I had the small grilled octopus salad and added the grilled shrimp. Decent size for a meal. Everything i and companions had were very good. Highly recommend.
