We do not eat meat so cannot comment on that but the fish and vegetables we had were outstanding: really fresh sashimi, totally great Korean cauliflower and perfectly cooked calamari. And a really yummy flourless chocolate torte to finish. The server was friendly and helpful and we were seated right on time.

I had the Poké bowl and it was quite delicious! We started with the calamari for an appetizer. It was good, not great. Rings were tiny, no tentacles. Lots of salad.? No alcoholic seltzers, such as white claw.

Consistent dining quality in downtown Newburyport. Service was excellent and we were seated right away. The appetizers and clam chowder were delicious. Cocktails were creative and fun. Everyone opted for burgers n sandwiches for dinner which were filling and perfectly cooked. Haddock meal was tasty, but a touch soggy. Restaurant has been a Newburyport staple for years and did not disappoint.

Our server was fabulous! It was my son‘s birthday and we all had a great time. Food was spectacular as well. Everyone was happy! Thanks so much.

We have dined in the Black Cow many times in the past. My wife has always ordered the crab cake app, which used to be the best around, but no longer. It used to be two meaty crab cakes with very little filler, now it is one mediocre crab-ish cake on a sea of odd, indescribable sauce. Not going to order that again! I had a burger and the lamb lollipops (the former was okay, the latter is still my favorite item on the menu). Our guest had poke bowl, which she said that she quite enjoyed. What we did not enjoy was having the waitress come over (after I had paid and left a nice tip) and explain to us that there was a 2 hour table limit and we were "well over" that (we might have been barely over 2 hours, but how were we supposed to know that there was a 2 hour limit and that it would be a problem from 5-7 pm on a Tuesday?) Getting kicked out of the restaurant (with visibly empty tables) certainly put a damper on catching up with a friend we had not seen for 8 years. Very disappointed.

We had a reservation and arrived 20 minutes early. We were seated immediately. Our waitress Jessie was outstanding!!! Food was amazing.
