We both loved our first visit to Black Cow. Service was wonderful, loved sitting on the patio and watching the people/cars go by, and the food was absolutely amazing! I had the ribeye, my wife had the NY strip, and we shared red potatoes and spinach sides. 😋 Would definitely go back again.

This is our new favorite steak house better than our favorite NYC and Chicago steak houses. The Chateaubriand my husband had was superb! The flavor surpasses any we’ve had. I had the Petite Tender with compound butter. I practically melted in my mouth and was so flavorful! We shared the smashed red potatoes with and chimichurri, which were wonderful. The Brussels sprouts were enough for 3 or 4, nice and crispy with apples and pickled fennel. A combination of flavors that you just need tot experience! The key lime pie and chocolate mousse were the perfect end to a fantastic dinner. The wine was well-priced and excellent- sommeliers choice Chateauneuf du Pape. Landon provided excellent service. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

best cville meal in a long while. steak done to perfection - sides all delightful and perhaps the best key lime pie i have ever had. cannot wait to go back and try the burger!

Really enjoyed dinner here. My wife and I both had the filets. I had the ranch dressing - super light and fresh - and really enjoyed the side salad. The whipped butter - if you like salty - was amazing. If you’re on a heart healthy diet - maybe not for you…. The steaks themself were nice cuts, cooked correctly to order. They did not season the steak, but allowed you to do so with the sauce. I had the chimichurri which was fresh and nice. My wife had the bernaise. The best bites were the steak itself dipped in the fresh ground salt on the plate. When (not if) I go back - I plan on not getting sauce, purchasing extra bread (and butter), and asking for extra salt on the side to dip. We got the smashed reds as a side, and it was amazing. The potatoes were perfection - soft on the inside with a crisp, flavorful crust.
