Very nice restaurant and bar. Service was excellent. Food was very good and tasty, and portions were large. Good value . We would definitely come back.

Not sure why this place is five stars. There’s an hour and a half limit to your allotted time. They really want you to hustle even though there’s hardly anyone in the restaurant. We ordered a 2019 Pinot noir and were given a 2022. The food was ok for me and very good for others. The desserts were just ok. At 8 pm, they lock the exterior doors so don’t go to your car and try to come back in. No way I’d go back here. That said. The decor is lovely and the scenery and view is gorgeous. Nothing can take away from those two things.

We chose this restaurant for the sunset view! IT WAS FABULOUS!!! Our server was very attentive. I rated the food at 4 stars because I felt that if you are going to list vegetables as accompanying your entree dinner, there should be more than 2 skinny roasted carrots, or 5 string beans. The menu is spendy, so I feel they could spring for another 50 cents worth of veggies.

The environment is great, the food was tasty, but the service was very slow. I like a relaxed dinner but there were times when it was or felt like 10 minutes between the times we’d see our server. It felt like they were short staffed but I don’t think that was it. Anyway, reasonable prices relative to what everywhere is charging these days. A bigger menu would be welcomed. They offer the very basics of a menu and I think they should have 5 of 6 more main course options.

Lovely facility and location. Food well prepared and presented. Table service was very good — efficient, pleasant, although a bit slow. Only negative was at the point of seating for our reservation. This was a special occasion, my 80th birthday with family. I had reserved a table for 5 at least 4 weeks earlier and included the information that was an 80th birthday celebration. None of that information mattered when the hostess took us to a high top in the bar. Totally unsuitable especially considering my 5 year old granddaughter. After my protest we were somewhat rudely seated at a table in the dining room.

The food was amazing as was the beautiful setting with views of the mountains, the sunset and a warm atmosphere in the dining room by the unique fireplace. My salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious as was the pork chops others in our group had. The mushroom toast and burrata appetizers were equally good. We’ll be back soon.

Everything was wonderful. Recognizing the end of the season and smaller staff, the service was good. Slow but friendly. We had the salmon and pork chop and radicchio salad. All were creative , well prepared and delicious.

Beautiful space, good service. The food is hit and miss. The burrata app and mushroom crostini were very good. My wife enjoyed the scallops as her main. I had a rib-eye that was really disappointing. They are serving grass-fed beef with no notice. No marbling and off taste. I could not eat it.

The food was acceptable, nothing special, but the service was terrible. We waited for such a long time for our entries that we considered leaving. We were there celebrating our daughter's birthday. The server herself called the wait time 'ridiculous' and blamed it on a new menu. This is the premier restaurant at Black Butte and deserves better everything to make it an acceptable option for such a high-class and expensive place to stay.
