The food is excellent but kinks still need to be worked out with service. We were sat 15 minutes after our reservation time and our food orders weren’t taken until almost an hour after our reservation time. We weren’t given any steak knives (at a steak restaurant) and had to get up and ask for them. One of our sides was missing and we were brought two of another side. Nothing was taken off the bill to accommodate for these issues.

Wonderful food & great service. Excellent steak & fresh fish. Noise level could be on a wish list to work on. Overall, a solid dining option in Wellesley for a group special outing. Went out on a Wednesday night & it was great to see a full house.

Absolutely loved the entire dining experience. Our waiter was communicative, conscientious and informative. He clearly loved his job and the restaurant. Everything was delivered timely. The vibe was infectious. Definitely going back.

Tonight was the once a year get-together with friends from 30+ years. The ambience at Black & Blue was fun yet cozy at the same time, the service was great, and all our dinners were outstanding. I will definitely be returning well before next year’s get-together!! Thanks for a fun night, Black & Blue!

Visited Black and Blue on 10/29 with a friend. Service was by Jane and her assistant server Gabe. Jane was GREAT! Knew the menu and had great recommendations. Gabe never let us run out of water and was very prompt in removing dirty dishes. As I mentioned to Jane, the brown butter sweet potato crab hash that came with the red snapper needs to be a side dish of its own. Delicious. Beautifully done space and enjoyable atmosphere. High End quality without the “stuffiness” like other fine dining establishments. All the other staff we came into contact with were polite and friendly. Warming and welcoming. Rounded booths are a little tight to get in and out of, but overall comfortable to sit and enjoy a good meal. Thank you to Jane and Gabe. Well done.

Excellent service, hostess came by to ask how everything was and thanked us for joining them that evening. Waitress was very attentive and warm. Food and drinks were delicious and presentation was good
