Amazing food and service but what I really appreciated was I called to confirm and ask if I could possibly add 4 additional persons and we were accommodated to a private room, what a wonderful surprise. When we are in town we always try and come to your restaurant and we are never disappointed

It was my first time at Black and Blue hosting a business dinner and I was completely impressed with the warm but tasteful ambience and friendly greeting. While waiting at the bar for a group of people the bartenders provided a friendly smile and excellent service. Our table for 6 was ready and Lisa our waitress was super kind, polite, and professional. I highly recommend Black and Blue for anyone looking for a relaxing environment, delicious food and excellent service. AP

Great ambiance, fine service, high ceiling, good wine list, fine steak choices though each flavored with salt, perfect decor, high fashionable bar area, a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. High level dining in this locale.

I am a huge fan of Black and Blue. In fact, it's my favorite steak house in the Capital Region. However, after our last visit, my view point has changed. We were seated in the area where the big window is. Our reservation was at 5:30pm. The restaurant was nearly empty at that time. The sun was directly shining our our faces. We asked about shutting the blinds but multiple people said the blinds couldn't be adjusted as they were broken! A steak house that charges $50 for a steak can't get a contractor in to fix that? That's inexcusable. If the sun is an issue in that area, something should be done about it. Perhaps we could have been seated in a different area. We literally had to physically move our table against the wall to get out of the sun. The sun on our table lasted the entire time we were there. In addition, two of the 7 oz. filets were literally half the size of the other filets at our table. We have been here numerous times and always have a great experience. However, this meal truly left a sour taste in my mouth. Our server was great so no complaints there. But the ambiance and the food were severely lacking this time. It was my son's 16th birthday and I think it was literally our worst experience there.

As always great entrees and sides. Strip steak perfectly cooked at medium rare and my wife’s filet and crab absolutely delicious. Sides of asparagus (could have been steamed/grilled another minute) and sautéed mushrooms were tasty and nice addition to the entrees. As a gluten free patron, I ordered the AGAINST THE GRAIN roll which I have always enjoyed. This one came out a little overbaked and crispy. Nonetheless I enjoyed it with honey butter. Joe our waiter was exceptional along with his partner, Mikaela. Another exceptional meal from Black & Blue!
