Time counts at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. Since our humble beginnings back in 1978, we've continued to refine our brewhouse experience to make BJ's a place where you can make the most of any meal. We want BJ's to be a place where the moment you leave is the moment you plan on coming back. We pride ourselves in our craft and attention to detail. Our guests come here for our award-winning handcrafted beer. They come here for the Southern California twist we've put on the Chicago-style deep dish pizza. DO NOT make reservations here, as the restaurant does not honor them. My family and I arrived at 5 pm for our reserved table, as we had tickets for an event. We were told there would be a 10-minute wait. At 5:30 pm, we were still waiting and saw others with reservations having the same experience. Moreover, walk-in customers were given the same wait times. When I inquired about our reservation at 5:40 pm, I was informed it would be another 20 to 30 minutes, but we could eat at the bar immediately. Frustrated but pressed for time, we opted for the bar. On a positive note, our waitress was exceptional. She quickly took our order and provided outstanding service, which somewhat redeemed our experience.

It's a little bit too dark in the overall restaurant and bar. A slightly more lit area around the dining room would help diners see where they are walking - the dark wood floors, dark furniture and poorly lit area in general makes it hard to maneuver.

Always amazing service at this Coleman Ave. location! Staff is extremely attentive and the food hot and delicious! We will definitely return!

I usually love eating at BJ’s, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at their chains. We made a reservation a week prior for 4 people at 5pm. When we got there, it looked like the staff up front were in complete disarray. Even though we had a reservation, waiting for them to seat us took forever. Our waiter was disorganized and either forgot about us several times, or just took way too long in between checking on us. About 35 minutes after we had ordered from him, he introduced us to our new waitress because he was going on lunch. He literally said “I’m going on lunch to eat because I’m starving”. As he walked away, my husband laughed and said “ya… us too”. When all was said and done, it took about 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered and unfortunately, it was cold and 2/4 were incorrect. We had to rush out of there to get to a 7pm show, but even after telling our new waitress that we were now in a hurry, she seemed to be in no rush to help us out. Long story short, definitely think about making reservations elsewhere.

Our server was great. But the front desk was not organized or friendly. We had a reservation and still larger groups were sat before us while we waited.

It was a good experience, nothing too crazy. Watched the last few minutes of the football game. service was good, was sat at a table quickly and got our food at a reasonable time.

I didn't think I could be amazed anymore by someone's idiocy. So, today we arrived at the hostess stand for our reservation, shortly after the restaurant opened. The restaurant wasn't busy. The hostess said we'd need to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated, until her computer rebooted. Yes, you heard that right! I told her to seat us now, and she could then wait for her computer to come back online. The look on her face was priceless! She couldn't fathom being told so bluntly that her proposal was unacceptable. Restaurant management needs to do a better job training their staff these days. This young generation lacks common sense and needs everything spelled out to them. How the hostess would ever think that making customers wait to be seated, with the restaurant nearly empty, and wait staff available and ready to work, just so her computer could come back online. Sounds like a teachable moment for management. Nevertheless, the rest of our experience was fine. We had a decent lunch. Food and service were good. Restaurant was clean.

The service was nice from beginning to end. The hostess was able to accommodate to get our group back on the waiting list since we were 15 mins late to our reservations. We then waited probably another 15 minutes until we got sat down on a table. We got our drinks in a timely matter and we then put in our order of appetizers and main courses. We ordered the fried calamari, the ahi tuna with wonton chips, bj thin crust pizza, lemon pepper wings, and prime rib special. Food came out hot and all at once which we requested the server to do. The ambience was loud but not loud enough where you can’t hear each other. We left with our tummies full.
