At Bivio our passion is authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Napoli... our love of the city, its cuisine, and in particular, its pizza is where our story began. We heard time and time again “It’s all about the dough.” True to Neapolitan tradition, and the passion of the pizzaioli, we construct our pizza using “00” flour from Naples, San Marzano DOP tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, fior di latte or bufala mozzarella, and sea salt. Our dough is gently mixed using a 28 year old “lieveto madre” (natural yeast culture) then with intense heat is baked in our wood burning il forno. At Bivio all of our dishes are made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients.

We are in the "the pizza itself is better than Razza" camp, and so are the apps but you'd think a small space like this would feel intimate but its crazy noisy and we are 3 for 3 in waiting at least 15 mins past our reservation time before getting seated

The melon, burrata and cullatello salad was so delicious! The pizza was perfect, as it always is.

Outstanding. Neapolitan pizza lovers, look no further. The crust has the perfect balance of crispiness, chewiness and airiness. Toppings are fresh and flavorful. The care and love of craft come through in every bite.

Bivio makes traditional Neapolitan-style pizza with a yeast purchased from an Italian bakery over 30 years ago, a strain that could well be hundreds of years old. Their pizza is among the best I've ever had. Their appetizers are equally impressive, serving melt-in-your-mouth culatello and burrata, as well as antipasto. The space is cute and intimate and the staff warm and friendly. It's BYOB with no corkage fee (a perk of NJ), and the staff will bring a cooling sleeve to keep your white wine cool. We were suffering under the heat dome when we went there and the restaurant was very, very warm, so take that into account (although I was told a new a/c unit has been ordered). Heat aside, Bivio is my favorite restaurant in Montclair. Buon appetito!

Food is amazing! Our pear salad was refreshing and enough for 2. The sorrento pizza was different and full of flavor. The margarita is always a favorite! We sat at the bar and the owner was really nice! He monitors every pie in detail from start to finish. He brought over a few different olive oils for us to taste with the pie crust. Great dinner. And byob is always a favorite.

There are no words that can describe how wonderful this pizza is. From the first bite you immediately taste the quality of ingredients. Our new favorite spot. Love love love.

Dont compare the current Bivio to the previous one. The pizza is no where near in taste compared to Tomasso's. At least the curiosity is solved. Service was fine.

You go here for the pizza, and excellent pizza is what you get. The char on the crust is perfect; the combinations of the toppings are amazing. Getting a reservation can be a challenge, but the wait is rewarded with one of the best pizzas I've ever experienced. The staff is great, service is attentive. Take a table at the bar and watch the pizzaiola work his magic.
