Let me first start off by saying that this is a very cute place in a pretty part of Mobile. The service was very friendly and attentive, The food however wasn't great and was pretty average for the price. It wasn't awful, just wasn't great. I had the burger and it was very hard to eat... and it was the wrong choice of bun. The fires tasted like they came frozen in a bag and were pretty tasteless. I also had the wedge salad and it was delicious. My mother had the crab cake (there's only one, even though is said crab cakes on the menu. She was also unimpressed. My niece had the pasta and that too was average... just nothing special. Lastly, it was very noisy... and very hard to have a conversation inside. My mother is a little hard of hearing and she spent the entire evening in silence due to the noise levels. This could be a great spot in Mobile , with just a little more attention to the details and using better ingredients. There was just nothing new on the menu to choose from. It might be to your taste though, it just wasn't ours. They should also offer their customers bread to start... that's just pretty standard!

Conner was a gracious server as Visit Mobile hosted a travel writer from Austria. We all enjoyed our experience. Our guest was delighted by the design of the building, the quality of the food, and the staff's availability for his needs. Visit Mobile will continue to bring our guests to the Bistro—it never disappoints in showing how Mobile was born to celebrate!

Nothing French about this sad onion soup in a pretty French style restaurant. Broth tasted like bouillon cubes and was thick with cornstarch, very few onions and instead of bread there were three stale small croutons under the cheese. Cheese was tasteless, more like a mozzarella than a Swiss or Gruyère. I ordered the crab cake but couldn’t judge its quality because every bite was overwhelmed by the horseradish-heavy remoulade sauce spooned under the it. Hot tea selection is all herbal except for English Breakfast and the water was not very hot—and brought in a cup rather than a small pot. However, I have to say that the asparagus was perfection, the saving grace of an otherwise inferior meal. Service was attentive, surroundings attractive and cozy. Music was Frank Sinatra which we didn’t love but would more happily suffer with a better supper. I really like the location, the small dining room and the servers are always excellent. But alas, after a total of three so-so experiences in the past few months I won’t recommend to my husband that we return.

Food was very tasty, not your usual breakfast items. Highly recommend their omelets and service was good and attentive.

Absolutely Fantastic! What a hidden gem. Warm welcome, outstanding service, and wow, the food. Excellent cocktail (French 75) and great beer selection for my husband. Perfect salad (he ordered the French Onion Soup, perfect as well), outstanding entrees (seafood pasta, beef for him) roasted Brussels as a side and crazy delish chocolate dessert (and solid wine list, for me, one of the Willamette Pinots). Nice chat with the very talented chef and our servicer made everything extra special. This anniversary dinner could not have been nicer. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you all. You exceeded expectations (and they were high). Grateful.
