Bistro Freddie is a 45-cover restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch showcasing the best in British produce and French wine.

The menu is inspired by classic British and French gastronomy. Expect seasonal starters, bold mains and pies to share, as well as larger cuts of meat cooked over fire.

Curated by Alex Price, Bistro Freddie’s all-French wine list focusses on real wines that reflect a sense of place. The wine list takes a deep dive into all corners of France, exploring a variety of styles, regions and producers.

The best vibe and the best food and wine - honestly such an amazing place and staff! The only thing - and it’s not a criticism as I get the space is the space just more a consideration for others - is that as a larger person the space is very tight! That aside I would 100% recommend

Simple food well prepared from good ingredients. Nice wine list by glass, carafe and bottle.

Great experience at the bar seating. Great to see the chef’s preparing all the food. Will be back again!

Totally delicious food especially the exquisite sauces for each main course. The flatbreads were very special and I could eat two as my main! Service and ambience were both lovely. Two less positive points: the wines we chose weren’t available so we tasted a few to find one liked. Secondly, we were five adults enjoying a birthday meal but felt rushed from the beginning. On arrival I was greeted with ‘we have back to back bookings’ and you have two hours. This was a Monday at 6pm. We all felt that for five people, enjoying wines and three courses, that two hours wasn’t long enough. For two people, yes, but for five I feel we should have had up to three hours. That said the food was all delicious, friendly service but we didn’t have enough time for desserts so went else where.

Excellent food from an interesting (but accessible) French-oriented bistro menu and great ambience (we ate at the bar). Attentive service and decent value for such quality. Portion sizes were generous. Wines by the glass or carafe were very good and well matched with the food. We are definitely going back!

The food was outstanding, everything just melted in your mouth. Simple dishes done perfectly, could not fault a single mouthful. The service was charming and the ambiance cosy, candlelit yet relaxed.

Service was impeccable, food was delicious. Wine was on the pricier end but worth it. Genuinely can't wait to return!
