Bistro Freddie is a 45-cover restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch showcasing the best in British produce and French wine.

Anna Sogaard's menu is inspired by classic British and French gastronomy. Expect seasonal starters, bold mains and pies to share, as well as larger cuts of meat cooked over fire.

Curated by Alex Price, Bistro Freddie’s all-French wine list focusses on real wines that reflect a sense of place. The wine list takes a deep dive into all corners of France, exploring a variety of styles, regions and producers.

Great food, wine and service. Also atmoshpere was very 'viby'. Would appreciate clearer guidance or labelling on wines as organic or biodynamic or low intervention/'natural'.

First visit , 4 of us sat at the counter , food , service and ambience was excellent ! Look forward to visiting again

LRF - London Restaurant Festival? 4 courses menu? What a joke! Really liked this restaurant with their usual menu but this time was a proper joke for 90£ per person. And we did not even get the champagne that was on offer when booking. The menu was random, the price twice as expensive… very annoying. Avoid that LRF thing if you don’t make a specific effort on the menu, this is damaging tbh…

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here and it was a fabulous place for lunch. Great ambience, good food, lovely staff, and a perfect ‘special but relaxed’ place to be.

I was recommended by social media, and was not disappointed. The food cooked fresh in front of us .. flatbreads were amang, the plaice was the best fish I had eaten in a long time. Peter, head of house, was so attentive, kind and fabulous ! do want to return!

Loved it and very good food. Service was lagging as waitor’s were slow but good apart from that!

The food was delicious but slightly on the heavy side due to the amount of butter in every recipe. The black pudding was outstanding and probably the best I have ever had. Overall the food was reasonably priced as well, but the cocktails are a bit on the expensive side. The ambience is nice, but the restaurant was really warm and the toilets very dark. Would probably also suggest to keep the music lower as the space is really small and when full is already very noisy.

Wonderful evening at Bistro Freddie. We were relieved it lived up to the hype. Jamon flatbread was exquisite and the food that followed was excellent. Service refreshingly brilliant for London these days. Will be back!
