Bistro Freddie is a 45-cover restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch showcasing the best in British produce and French wine.

The menu is inspired by classic British and French gastronomy. Expect seasonal starters, bold mains and pies to share, as well as larger cuts of meat cooked over fire.

Curated by Alex Price, Bistro Freddie’s all-French wine list focusses on real wines that reflect a sense of place. The wine list takes a deep dive into all corners of France, exploring a variety of styles, regions and producers.

Excellent food from an interesting (but accessible) French-oriented bistro menu and great ambience (we ate at the bar). Attentive service and decent value for such quality. Portion sizes were generous. Wines by the glass or carafe were very good and well matched with the food. We are definitely going back!

The food was outstanding, everything just melted in your mouth. Simple dishes done perfectly, could not fault a single mouthful. The service was charming and the ambiance cosy, candlelit yet relaxed.

Service was impeccable, food was delicious. Wine was on the pricier end but worth it. Genuinely can't wait to return!

Great food. Loved the cod schnitzel. Great sitting up at the bar seeing the action.

Food was really great, but they really rushed us out the door as soon as we’d finished eating after 90 mins when our seating for 3 people should have been 2 hours and there was no one waiting, which messed with the experience.

Fabulous food, especially the pig head croquettes, cod schnitzel with amazing beurre blanc sauce and the îles flottante, and a great little atmospheric restaurant with strong French vibes. Wish there it was just around the corner as we’d be there all the time!

Original menu, reasonably priced and good service in cozy setting. Been twice now, both times very good will come back soon !!

Such a beautiful experience, food was fantastic. It's been on my list for ages and glad we visited last night. Even on a Monday night the team managed to nail every aspect and deliver exceptional hospitality. We were looked after a lady from Taranto who was amazing. Will definitely come back.

The entire group was unanimously in agreement that the dinner was one of the absolute best restaurant experiences we've had. Everyone is used to dining out and was impressed by the overall experience. Every single dish was delicious, the service was absolutely fantastic, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well and have a fun evening.
