Welcome to Bistro Di Marino. I hope your experience here is as fulfilling, simple and refined as the restaurant itself. We look forward to welcoming you at our one of a kind, BYOB restaurant, in the best small town in America!

Bistro di Marino is my kitchen. It’s where I get to do what I love and share it with all who pass through its doors. As you read this, we are busy in the kitchen pouring our hearts into our food. This is a love affair that goes back for many, many years and if you haven’t yet dined with us, consider this an invitation to experience four generations of my family in the place I call home.

    They were out of half the menu, which the waiter didn’t tell us until we tried to order something. Ordered the one appetizer that was supposed to have grilled crostini instead we got charred dinner rolls. The veal was just thrown on the plate and didn’t have cheese on all the pieces, as a veal parm should. The pasta was clearly boxed. The Diet Coke came from a 2 liter bottle and was flat. They didn’t have wine glasses, so we had red wine in champagne flutes. Waiter was nice and clearly was embarrassed by the lack of availability on the menu. Had to wait, even with a reservation. Told us they charged 3% for credit card payments.

    Food was excellent. We got the calamari, fried burrata, mussles in red sauce, chicken parm, and lobster gnocchi.

    Excellent food Ceaser salad should be chilled, chilled plate be beter. Salad was great though

    Crowded Saturday night but over 15 people waiting to be seated when we arrived for our reservation. It took over 30 mins to be seated. Chris our waiter was very professional and the best part of our evening. Immediately apologized for the delay. After reviewing the very worn/ stained menus, Chris returned and took our order. No wine glasses so given champagne flutes. Caesar salad was split for both couples and was good. 2 Gnocchi Mistos were ordered. One came with correct sauces but 2nd had 1 of the 3 incorrect sauces but we ate it anyway. Main entrees - 2 arrived but one was cold - not warm - cold. We waited for remaining 2 entrees and when delivered, both were wrong. The 2 wrong entrees sent back along with the cold entree to be reheated. Over 15 minutes later, warmed entree and 2 additional entrees arrived. However, the 2 correct entrees were missing crab meat as the kitchen had run out! Our waiter Chris advised that our meal would be comped which was the right thing to do. This was our 2nd visit in the last year and both times we received incorrect entrees. Do we give it a 3rd try?

    We gave Bistro every reason to come back and try again, and again were woefully disappointed. We left after not getting salad for an hour. We tipped our server and tried to talk to the manager, who hid in the kitchen.

    Something changed here. Used to be a favorite. Always got the mussels in white and they were in what looked like brown gravy they were not good. The pot roast meant was so dry and tough. They sat 5 (1 highchair) of us at a table for 4 in a corner. In a room where we were the only ones seated (5:00 reset)Should have asked to be moved but shouldn’t have had to. Disappointed .. new owner? New chef? Seems like maybe? We always went for the cannolis too. They didn’t offer them. Unfortunately I bought $300 in gift cards at Christmas. Sad.

    We arrived at the restaurant and when we checked in they said they did not have our reservation. We were then seated because they had availability. Our waiter came over and reviewed the specials then took our order. We ordered the calamari which is supposed to have spicy peppers we looked for them and found 2-3 thin slices of peppers in the entire dish. We then ordered one of the special entrees which was chicken cutlets that crabmeat and melted cheese. When the dish was served we looked diligently for a single piece of crabmeat. There was none! We pointed this out to the waiter and he said they must have forgotten and he took the dish back to the kitchen. We should have just asked for crabmeat on the side but he quickly acknowledged the mistake and took the dish. Later when he returned with a new plated entree I have to admit the marinara and chicken were delicious but only 3-4 small chunks of crab were in the dish. Certainly not worth the up-charge.

    This was my 5th or 6th time at Bistro DiMarino...Wanting to show friends how much I loved it, was a complete disaster. They were out of 4 of the entrees we ordered. Our reservations were for 6:45 and to be out of that many things was surprising. Our Antipasto Marino Freddo was sent back because the soppressata was old and discolored as was the prosciutto. It was taken off our bill. Our entrees that they did have were decent. Dessert was no different as they were out of most of the selections. Our server was CJ...He was wonderful. He was very apologetic and tried his best to be accommodating. I can't express how disappointed I was in the whole evening. Needless to say, I surely didn't impress anyone. Thank you for listening
