    Had to flag someone down to get service. Bar music was loud and mostly computer generated.

    We had a absolutely wonderful evening at Bistro Bis for our anniversary. Drinks impeccable. Service wonderful. Food was absolutely amazing from the charcuterie plate to our mains (crab cakes, ny strip and pork tenderloin) and dessert the care and attention to plating and taste was amazing. Would totally recommend anyone in the area to book Bistro Bis for the wonderful meal and experience that it was.

    My dining partner and I both ordered the Soupe a l'Oignon, the French classic. We both agreed it was exceptionally done in all its glory. My partner thought her salad (included almonds) was excellent. My steak frites was sadly disappointing. A nice piece of meat. Cooked correctly. McDonalds French fries which i prefer to the smaller fries frequently served with steak frites. But the whole point of steak frites is to have a nice sauce on the steak and to be able to dredge the fries in the sauce and meat juices. Instead I just ate dry McDonalds fries. And what was with what I think was some quickly pan-wilted watercress served along with the steak? No vinagrette? No gastrique? Just dull undressed greens? Surely a restaurant with Bistrot Bis's credentials can do better. Ever heard of creamed spinach?

    One of my favorite restaurants. For some reason yesterdays Steak Frites was not up to par. We all have off days!

    We had a delightful waiter in Demarcus, who gave us amazing service and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, cocktails, wine and dessert. Yay for the crème brûlée!

    Bistro Bis is a jewel. Probably among the very best restaurants in DC. The Restaurant Week lunch at Bistro Bis has to be THE BEST LUNCH in DC or for that matter anywhere in the world. The variety, detail, quality, service are truly exceptional. Gazpacho, Cod, Grand Marnier Souffle are absolutely fabulous!
