Come to Bistro 42 at North 42 Degrees to experience our passion, beauty and southern hospitality. Set among an 18 acre vineyard and lavender farm the restaurant boasts spectacular views of the vines and lake. The seasonal menu offers versatile small plates made for sharing and delicious entrees all created using locally grown produce and inspired by classic French and European cuisine with a modern twist making our territories exceptional flavour profiles come to life! Pastries and baked goods made in house are available. The winery tasting bar is open daily. Enjoy one of our 4 patios or sit by our cozy fireplace and enjoy the culinary creations of Bistro 42.

Disappointed from the last time we were there. Waited way too long for a wine tasting, then food was overpriced for what you got. Mimosa was basically orange juice for 15$. This was our favourite winery in Essex County. Now not so much

our server was wonderful. However, our food was averaged at best. The chicken on my salad was undercooked.

Beautiful location, outdoor on the patio for a sunset dinner. Loved that part. Unfortunately, the food was not equal to the task. My partner had the chicken and I had the pork chop. Taste was bland with my pork chop being covered in the equivalent of A1 sauce and her orzo rice seemed under done. The wines were also not great in our opinion. Our preference is dry, but even their dry options seemed really not well developed. It's a relatively new winery (I believe 2012) so hopefully with time everything will get better!

We went for dinner to celebrate an anniversary. It was HOT in the restaurant - there didn't seem to be a lot of airflow where we sat. The server and the floor manager were lovely, but the food was very slow. We sat at 7pm and got our dinner around 8:20. The salmon was excellent, but not sure I'd return knowing it's that long of a wait.

Martin and Suzanne have created a wonderful venue. The new chef is amazing. Reese is a great server. Food and drinks were the best we have had this last visit

Seated upstairs..temperature was unbearable..guests at all tables were fanning themselves with the menus. Pork chop was over done or reheated from night before..too tough to cut and accompanying side of rice was cold!! It was so hot upstairs, the wait staff all had sweat dripping down their faces! Not a good experience at all!

I highly recommend Bistro 42 to anyone looking for a quaint getaway with great views and a wonderful atmosphere. Our server Faith was very informative and inviting and made celebrating my mother's birthday the perfect experience. The menu is so fresh and everything on it is exquisite, not only to look at but to taste as well. If you love wine and great food this is the place for you!

Great food, service, wine and atmosphere. The blueberry white chocolate cheesecake was worth every calorie!

Very good place to eat. Would recommend this restaurant to our friends. However,,it was over 30C and we were seated upstairs in a warm room. We had to ask to be seated downstairs in the cool part of the restaurant. Meal was very good however, our orzo was Luke warm. But chicken was amazing. Wine was exceptional.
