One of Houston’s original restaurants, Birraporetti’s opened in 1974 with the slogan “A great Italian Restaurant…A heck of an Irish bar.” For almost 40 years, Birraporetti’s has been the place to gather on a date, celebrating with friends and family, for happy hour or before or after the theater.
We are noted for our award-winning stone oven pizzas, pastas such as lobster ravioli, & delicious main courses including hand-carved beef filet & fresh seafood. And don't leave without trying our signature Frozen Bellini’s, Irish Coffee, chocolate chip cheesecake, tiramisu, or the berries & cream.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was in my early 20s. They have always provided excellent service, fantastic food and a wonderful ambience. It is definitely a staple in the downtown Houston Theatre District. I would like to thank R.C. for her kindness on the telephone, and her assistance in helping us to make modifications to our reservation. She gave me her full attention, and she didn’t try to rush me, even though I knew the restaurant was very busy. R.C. made sure she answered all of my questions, and was very present in the conversation. Our lovely waitress, Eli, was very attentive, and had such a sweet spirit, and a huge shout out to Mario, who always remembers us every time we come in and makes sure that we are taken care of. He continues to check on us during dinner and he always has such a beautiful light. In addition, I would also like to mention, the decorations for Christmas were absolutely gorgeous and you could tell that the spirit was alive in the restaurant. It is beautiful, no matter what time of year you go and, the Sunday brunch is always amazing. I know that a lot of people like to go to new restaurants but there’s something so wonderful about the restaurants that have stood the test of time. Birraporetti’s is always amazing.

Everything we tried was delicious ! The crab cakes, lobster ravioli and tortellini florentine soup all good pics.

We get good food and good value at Birrapprettis in Theater District. We eat simple Italian things there. Had a veggie pizza we really liked. There was an annoying low-level beeping alarm, such as a smoke alarm, going off this time, which decreased our enjoyment this time. The manager worked the issue trying to turn the thing off. The over sell or pushing of alchohol by waiter was increased over our past visits. We were there for lunch on a weekday and are not big drinkers, so this was a little bit annoying. Our family will be back.

This was the perfect restaurant for Christmas Day. Beautifully decorated and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious.

The food was fantastic. Our main issue was the service. Was very slow, had to ask repeatedly for the same thing. We never got refills on original water. When the meal was delivered, wife requested another bar drink and we were completely finished eating when it finally came. Just not a good experience this time.

My party of three had evening tickets to The Nutcracker ballet so made 6:00 pm reservations for dinner at Birraporetti's. We arrived 20 minutes early so I expected to wait for our table but we were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing and our food was fantastic! One person had pasta with shrimp while the other two EACH ordered the large (appetizer) seafood platter as our entree. Yes, two platters for two people. Everything on the platter - grilled shrimp, crab cakes, and fried calamari was cooked to perfection! Their seafood sauce (like tartar sauce but better!) was delicious as always. Then after the ballet we came back for dessert and coffee. I had the tiramisu, one person had creme brulee, and the third had cheesecake. They were all delicious! Could not recommend this restaurant more!
