One of Houston’s original restaurants, Birraporetti’s opened in 1974 with the slogan “A great Italian Restaurant…A heck of an Irish bar.” For almost 40 years, Birraporetti’s has been the place to gather on a date, celebrating with friends and family, for happy hour or before or after the theater.
We are noted for our award-winning stone oven pizzas, pastas such as lobster ravioli, & delicious main courses including hand-carved beef filet & fresh seafood. And don't leave without trying our signature Frozen Bellini’s, Irish Coffee, chocolate chip cheesecake, tiramisu, or the berries & cream.

We had dinner prior to going to the Hobby Center, as was the case for most everybody in there. The service was friendly and efficient. Our food came out quickly and was very good. Our dinner is experience could not have gone any better.

We went for dinner before seeing “Hamilton” at The Hobby Center. We were seated quickly and ordered quickly. Food was good. It took us over 30 minutes to get our check!!! We were almost late for the show. This used to be our go to place for downtown, but after last night, we will find somewhere else. Very disappointed!!

The Sunday Brunch crowd was very calm and pleasant. I loved the lower crowd and soft live music. We choice the lunch menu and skipped the buffet. Food was fresh and hot. Will have to try the buffet next time as all the plates looked amazing. Our server, Shamika, and helper, Mario, were very attentive, personable and prompt. Let Shamika puck my wine for my fish dinner and it was perfect! Even brought over a small sample from the buffet when we commented how yummy it looked. All and all a wonderful experience before heading over to Jones Hall.

food was great and the service by Deshawn our waiter was beyond. He asked what time our show was and expedited our order.

The waitress was nice and it’s conveniently located when you’re going to the ballet or symphony but everything else was terrible. The food was cold, our drinks came long after our meals, we ended up jammed into a bar space despite a reservation, and dessert took so long we had to leave without it. Really among the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a very long time.

I come here often before enjoying the theatre & I always make a reservation… The last 2 times I had reservations, they were cancelled the day of (some sort of maintenance issues). Today they must have overbooked as I (& others who also had reservations) had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. (We were in a rush to get to the theatre!) Some of the patrons with reservations were seated at the bar - inexcusable for parties with reservations! There were about 10 parties crowded around the front desk waiting to be seated… No apologies or anything, just a slightly rude “wait one minute” by the front desk. Extremely poor customer service! Once we were seated, the food was good and our waiter, Deshaun, was wonderful (even making sure our order was rushed through so we would not be late to our show). I have always enjoyed Birraporetti’s, but I probably won’t be back… and I don’t think they will care.

Very quaint restaurant great for before or after theater or for a special occasion or date night. The lasagna is always fantastic. We shared the appetizer sampler (calamari, shrimp and crab cakes) and the small is plenty to share before a meal. Spend a couple bucks and get the garlic bread. The staff is friendly and attentive. 1 mile walk to Daikin baseball park so we park in the garage and walk to and from games.

Good food, good value, close to the theater, good parking, good service, ambiance is always well cared for. Its not clanking, loud or lumbering with overzealousness. The live music is always soft and just in the background. It is a good place for a date, or before/after a show in the theater district.
