   Started poorly, Saturday night and could not find a parking spot. It’s Like they force you to use valet parking. 1/2 the lot is reserved for valet. The staff inside was friendly and the service was very good. I wish we could have been seated in a different area we wound up in a small back room with maybe four tables and a big screen tv in the corner showing The Big Bang Theory, WTF! The food and apps very good and reasonably priced. I will return as my guests also agreed they would too. But next time I will request being seated in a different area.

   We had a reservation for 6 but had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table. To be fair, after a brief wait, we were offered the private dining room but we did not want to be sitting in a private room. We waited another 7 minutes or so to have our drink order taken and did not order food until well after 630. Service was slower than expected. The food was hit or miss. The short rib entree was good. My wife’s steak frites had an inconsistent cook. The ends were very well done while the middle was medium. My daughter’s Mac and cheese was creamy but flavorless. Fries and vegetables on our dishes were good all around. The hot chocolate cheesecake was a hit. The meal ended up over $170, but luckily we had a GC from the holidays. Expensive for a mediocre service and food experience. We hope our next experience proves better in the dining room, otherwise the basement brewery will be good enough for us in the future.

   Always consistent with great food and great service! The flatbread is always a great appetizer and the smash burger is a don’t miss if you are looking for a sandwich.

   We were at Birch’s for Restaurant Week and had great service, the ambiance was good, and enjoyed some of our dishes but not all. In particular, the scallops were just ok, and the veal parmesan lacked enough sauce. The portion sizes varied wildly— quite small for the scallops, huge for the veal. My friends got the steak and the scallops, but I forgot to ask about them. We liked our appetizers and desserts. Overall, we’ve had better meals at Birch’s and hope to do so again in the future.

   Chris was an awesome server. He engaged with us and was very helpful and polite. He also shared with us many of the other events that happen at Birch's. Wonderful evening. Thank you.

    Good menu for restaurant week. Busy on a Friday night and we could tell the server was covering a lot of tables so getting her attention was a problem. Some service glitches (food delivered at different times), one entree was forgotten and food got cold while we waited for the fourth entree. But aside from that, we loved our server, food taste and quality were great.
