Bit difficult to find so Would be useful to add notes to open table but otherwise the experience was wonderful

We had a great waiter who was attentive and engaging. There were 4 of us eating and we ordered BILL'S CLASSIC SHARER to start with. It was hugely disappointing in terms of size (there were only 3 pieces of flat bread), it was insubstantial in terms of a starter for 4 people. We ended up ordering some more flat bread to dip into the hummus but ended up getting garlic bread which was too wet to use in that way. The burgers were good as well as the chips. We had a lovely bottle of wine. The ambiance was very pleasant downstairs.

The staff were great- they were attentive and offered my son a free dessert which was so sweet after a long day. I’m so glad we came by!

Had a booked table for my mums 55th birthday, arrived 5 minutes early. Waited outside in the cold until the table was ready. My table was booked for 5:15 & a couple behind us were 5:30. I was seated around 5:40 and the other couple followed straight behind. Their order was taken before us & their food arrived before us. I mentioned this to a staff member and said we had a theatre show to go too & he replied “if you’re in a rush would you like to just pay now, so you can eat & go”. The food arrived cold and wrong however we were in such a rush we had to just forget about it as we would probably be waiting for another 30 mins for cold food again. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy however sadly would not be visiting again.

Food was as good as always. Service was excellent even though the restaurant was very busy - attentive and friendly without being intrusive. One thing that did disappoint was lack of Christmas decorations. A very sad Christmas tree outside was not in keeping with rest of businesses nearby.
