Every Bill Granger’s restaurant reflects the spirit we like to think of as ‘Australian’: sunny, easy-going and generous.

Bill opened his first restaurant in Sydney’s Darlinghurst in 1993. It soon became loved for its legendary breakfasts, served at the famous central communal table, where locals and travellers, families and friends, continue to be welcomed. Thirty years later, Bill’s relaxed, friendly and infectious joy in good, fresh food has become truly global, and is enjoyed at his restaurants in Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo and London.

We made a booking at 11am so when we entered the restaurant the waitress didnt say hi or anything but said “you need to wait outside and line up”. I said i made a booking and then shes like oh and took us to the table. We waited like 20mins to get some table water and get served. The food was great but the service was so so.

平日の7時30分に予約して行きました。とてもかわいい、お洒落な、明るい、思った以上に小さなレストランでした。料理は定番のフルオージーとリコッタパンケーキ&バナナ等をいただきましたが、とても美味しく、スタッフも気さくで、素晴らしい経験でした。日本にあるbillsより、混んでないしこじんまりしていて雰囲気も良いと思います。

Service was quite efficient and wait times were not long to be served. Food was quite abundant. The eggs might’ve had too much butter in them, and water could’ve been refilled a bit more other than that excellent dining experience would return.

Best coffee I had in three days in Sydney. Food and service was great. Only letdown was the noise level. I found it hard to hear my companions across the table.

We made a booking for 4, were sat at the door so I got hit in the back every time the door opened. It took 15 minutes to order, we got our food but still no coffees after another 25minutes. We asked for the coffees but they didn't know we had ordered them, we then waited another 15minutes for our coffees which they kindly gave to us for free. The staff were all over the place, not looking at the tables at all and not working the tables as I would have expected. We were never asked if we wanted another coffee. On top of this the staff sat a lovely couple with a screaming baby right next to us in a high chair which could have been placed on the other side of their table. I have always loved bills but this was next level disappointing.

6人のグループで12時から予約しました。並ぶほど混んでいなかったですが、予約しておいて良かったです。安定のホットケーキ、フルオージーを満喫。トイレがお店の外に１つだけだったのが、唯一不便と思いました。

We had a Valentine’s Day lunch here with no markup of prices. The service is always great, but our waitress (no name, but she is Scandinavian/Australian) outdid even the usual great service. She was so bubbly, chatty, helpful, even showing us a photograph of the chef’s special Valentine’s Day dessert and almost jumping up and down when we ordered it saying ‘oh wow, you’re the first one to order it ‘. I had a spicy grilled chicken dish with salad which was good but brought back memories of another chicken dish they did a couple of years back, was it Korean? But it was crunchy, hot, spicy, and absolutely delicious, love to see that one come back.

The place beautifully curated, the food was delicious, the service good, but too noisy. I wish you could find a way to minimise the acustic. Overall, enjoyable!
